First off I know this is wrong so I am not looking for a debate on right or wrong. We are going to Universal arriving on a Tuesday at RPR and do have one AP for the room. My son is arriving on Tuesday, but the best I could get him is AAA at $210 a night, the AP for that time is $129 for 1 night and $159 for the other 2, a big savings. Would the system catch it if we checked in on Tuesday, and we checked in the other room on Wednesday? As I said I know this is wrong, and I do have the room booked at AAA rates, but the rate does not come down. Thanks, and remember no debates or slaps with a wet noodle, I already know this is wrong.

We have three AP's in our house. Last year I booked a room at RPR for me and a King Suite for my mom. I told the reservationist that I would book the second room in my husband's name using his AP. They were fully aware that the reason we were doing this is because my mom does not have an AP. They put both rooms in my name and only asked for one AP at check in. I checked into my room one day and into my mom's room a day or two later. I made it clear when I checked into my mom's room that I was in fact only staying in one room! On another trip, I called in the morning to see what was available for that evening. I got two standard rooms--again, both in my name. They were fully aware that my sister, who does not have an AP, would be staying in the other room. Upon check in, they were content to just see my AP. They allowed my sister to pay for her room. Due to my Loews Platinum, we were upgraded to a King Suite--without even asking.

That is the long way to say that you should be fine. Now ease up on yourself!

Disney allows you to reserve two rooms with one AP. Maybe Universal allows you to do the same.
