Quick February trip -- 3 nights, 2 full days to go to the parks. 2 adults and one child who will be almost 5. We are thinking one day at MK and one at Epcot.

Can't decide between staying at the Beach Club Resort or Polynesian. Which would you pick and why?

I'd pick the Poly. The transportation from the Poly to Epcot and MK are the quickest. Monorail to MK or a quick walk to TTC and then monorail to Epcot. It amkes it very easy to zip back and forth between resort and parks.

Have fun!

Another vote for Poly! With the parks you are visiting, having the monorail will make everything so much quicker and easier.
Poly is beautiful. You'll love it!

Stayed at both. BC w/ a 4 yr old. Poly w/ a 6 yr old.

Stay at the Poly. Longer stay, the BC might be nice. Short stay Poly, you won't want to spend much time swimming and for a 5 yr old, that's all BC has going for it.

Poly is very close to the MK and TTC--which is awesome.

I would pick the Poly because you are only staying a couple of nights. This way you can get to MK and Epcot by monorail. From the BC, you would have to take the bus.

Poly. Why? Monorail. And also - as great as SAB is, the pool at the Poly if better for a 5 year old. Poly has a beach and the pool has zero entry but it's not as huge and overwhelming as SAB. And as far as the pool slides go , both could be a bit much for a 5 year old anyway.

I agree that the Poly will be best for you. If you can get a longhouse near TTC (I think we were in Tahiti) you can walk to TTC for your trip to Epcot.:thumbsup2

Well I am going to be the different one here and say the BC...

Why??...because we enjoy Epcot more than the MK...and we are late nighters, so we want more activities to do in the evening...

alot depends on what you guys like to do, and the park hours...

personally, our fav thing on our last evening at WDW is to do dinner in Epcot, walk around hitting the shops and having drinks while the kids make their masks...watch illuminations, and then walk out onto the BW and do the different activities there...then head back to our BWV...

depends on the park hours and if you want to see the electrical parade...which park if any would have EMH while there...also will you be going to the park for the entire day or just going for a few hours in the morning and then back to the resort for a nap before heading back again...

This would be my itnierary -

First night wouldbe DTD and then back to BC...

First morning wake up early and walk into Epcot and hit future world...then back to the hotel for a nap...then over to MK for some rides, the parade and fireworks...

Second morning would be catching an early bus to MK - have to be at the gate at least 30 min b4 the park opens...hit all the major rides before noon...then back to the hotel for a nap...wake up in the afternoon then walk into Epcot...walk around the countries...have dinner...watch illuminations...then out onto the BW for evening entertainment...

again, alot would depend on park hours and what things you guys like to see...

I would also pick the Polynesian because they have the better transportation with the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom and with the walkway to the TTC when going to the Epcot Monorail.
