Opinion please...1 night onsite or two off??

Question for you experts. We are leaving on a cruise on Sunday, Sept 5. We have two choices (with time and price constraints). We can stay Friday night and Saturday night at an off site hotel (prob a WDW value since we have AP's there) and have the entire day (Sat) to do park touring. We're really primarily interested in WWOHP. Or we can fly in Sat morning and not get tot he parks until early afternoon. We would say onsite and have Front of the line access for the rest of the day and evening. Just for info we have two adults and a 1 and 3 year olds.

What would you do??? I don't want to mess this up and not get anything out of it!

Well front of the line access is not valid for WWOHP from what I heard unless you had a WWOHP package. So I would just do the two night at a wdw value and go from there....

What are normal line waiting times like at IOA during September? If anything like WDW they are pretty reasonable. What do you think?

It's not valid at FJ for the time being, but is definitely valid at FotH and DD. I would stay onsite so you can get that early entry since you are spending such little time there.

What city is your cruise leaving from? and what time? I'm asking to determine if you'll have any time on Sunday to visit Universal. As la2kw mentioned, by staying on-site, I believe that you will have early entry on Sunday, but if you don't anticipate visiting on Sunday, then that doesn't help.

Perhaps you could arrive on Friday and stay at a cheap, off-site hotel near Universal, then transfer to a Universal Studios hotel early Saturday morning?
