Hi there, we're two families, a group of 4 adults and 3 children (10yr old, 6yr old and 4 yr old girls) heading to WDW January 10 - 18 from Northern Saskatchewan in Canada. We're staying in a 2 bedroom villa at the Beach Club - this is our first trip! We're staying 8 nights and have park hopper which includes the water parks.

This is our tentative schedule and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Sat Jan 10 -
- arrive at Villa after shopping for groceries, drinks, decorations etc.
- Unpack, settle in, check resort out - maybe walk to Epcot to get a little taste.
Sun Day 2 -
Head to MK first thing,
BBB booked at noon
Ride rides, do some meet and greets
Supper booked at Akershus in Epcot
A bit of sight seeing in Epocot then back to resort
Mon Day 3
To O'Hana for character breakfast (and check out the Poly)
Open Day (if its warm enough head to a water park maybe?)
Then to MK - Park Faire booked for 4:30
Hope to watch Wishes Fireworks before we head back to villa
Tues Day 4
- Take in the Animal Kingdom park - not sure where to eat? is there anything really unique we shouldn't miss??
Wed Day 5 -
- Back to MK
- Hope BOG for lunch (can't get reservations for supper)
- Park Faire booked for 4:30
- Hope to watch Electric Parade before we head back to villa
Thursday Day 6
- Open Day - (water park maybe) take some Epcot in,
Friday Day 7
- Take in the Hollywood Studios park
- Watch Fantasmic (Hollywood Vine pkg?)
Saturday Day 8
- Everything Epcot this day except we hope to head to MK to watch the Wishes Parade at 10pm
Sunday - Pack up, check out and head out to whatever park we want to for the day, then leave.

Are we missing too much? We don't want to over schedule but we took a look at it last night and are questioning if we've under scheduled.

I have many more questions, but I'll start here.

Renee (who hopes this is getting posted in the right forum??)

Hi Renee,

Day 3 has you all over the place. I think I would keep the plan of the water park, lose 1900 Park Faire (since you also have it on day 5 ) , and book a later ADR for MK instead since that is where you want to end your day

Day 4 My favorite park !

I highly recommend an ADR at Tusker House, if you plan for about 10 am bonus you will get 2 different meals for the price of one as breakfast food items are replaced with lunch items around 11 Nice interactions with characters too Every show, ride, and character M & G is wonderful ( I can't do that Dinosaur thing though kills my back ) Great photo ops when walking the trails to see the animals

First trip awesome ! May I also recommend 2 websites that can help you further in planning:

www.kennythepirate.com and www.easywdw.com

show your family , get input, narrow down the " must do" list remember you can't do it all but enjoy what you do

*I'm sure this goes without saying but keep in mind you'll need to have an extra day added to your tickets in order to hit Epcot this night. The cost to do this is relatively small (if you haven't done it already) but may not be worth it to you if you're only going to Epcot for a short while.

If you're looking for a TS restaurant, we love Tusker House. For QS, our favorite is Flame Tree BBQ.

Wed Day 5 -
- Back to MK
- Hope BOG for lunch (can't get reservations for supper)
- Park Faire booked for 4:30
- Hope to watch Electric Parade before we head back to villa
I notice you have another 1900PF for 4:30 - did you list this as a mistake or are you planning on doing it twice? Personally, I would not repeat a restaurant during one trip - too many good ones to choose from!

Thursday Day 6
- Open Day - (water park maybe) take some Epcot in,

Friday Day 7
- Take in the Hollywood Studios park
- Watch Fantasmic (Hollywood Vine pkg?)

Only other things I would note are try to catch Illuminations at Epcot if you can. Also, keep an open mind about hopping - we advocate hopping and will do it occasionally, but generally we will visit one park per day in the beginning until our last few days there when we're trying to catch our favorite things. You're hopping a lot in the beginning which can be time consuming. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you both so VERY much, really appreciate the feedback.

You are both right in that I wrote down Day 3 wrong - it's supposed to read Ohana for breakfast and then a wide open day (hopefully a water park, depends on weather). The Park Faire is only on Day 5.

I just booked the Tusker house - thanks for the recommendation, never even thought of that one.

So, I still need to figure out how to see Wishes and Illuminations...

Ok, off to browse through Kenny the Pirates site - have never saw that one!

Thanks again
Renee :thumbsup2

Wanted to mention about going to the water parks. Keep in mind you are going in Jan. which is Florida's coldest month.

The younger kids especially might be too tired to stay up for Wishes if you've been at a water park that day.

In Jan not everyone is upto the pool or waterpark but fingers crossed it will be warm for you.

We in general pair AK for a day with Epcot in the evening. Just works well for us. Bus takes you right form AK to Epcot. Also on AK days we tend to eat at Boma for dinner at the AKL. It's easy to take a bus from the park to the resort and then for you I would suggest take a bus to Epcot and then to your resort.
For lunch we like flame tree BBQ and yak ad yeti counter service.

At AK we really like the shows...lionking , nemo , and flights of wonder in that order.

not sure when you ADR for Akershus is but we timed it fairly well and finished dinner about half an hour before Illuminations and we were able to get a good spot to see it. Up by the rail was a clear view but frankly we were tired and sat on the stone wall on the opposite side of the walkway. It was a bit blocked by the tree but a few feet to the right would have been perfect. It was our last night and it was ok with me to sit.

Day 3 I'd just make a huge MK day so less bouncing around.

It is quicker to take the ferry to Grand floridian for 1900 parkfare. It takes 25 minutes on the monorail according to the ferry person last trip( we tried to figure how to get there faster. It is a walk from the pier so give yourself time.

At HS we do the fantasmic package with mama Melrose. some people complain of a wait but we have never experienced that and we really like the food. I've never done Hollywood and vine.

While we park hop we try to not let it consume our time but be effective. For example like above combining AK with another park or one trip we spent days in the other parks and evenings in Epcot with the switch being before or after dinner.

I would consider only doing one of the 1900 Park Fare dinners. Day 3 is a little busy! For TS at AK I would do a Tusker HOuse breakfast and for QS I suggest Flame Tree BBQ.

A bit of sight seeing in Epocot then back to resort With all the new additions to MK - it has made it a big park with so much to see. As we love to Park Hop - we usually don't leave MK to eat in EPCOT Especially since that is your first day at MK.
Mon Day 3
To O'Hana for character breakfast (and check out the Poly) If I were going to O'Hana - then I would stay and do part day at MK - to save travel time.
We agree with the PPs - we love Tusker House - we eat there every time.
Wed Day 5 -
- Back to MK
- Hope BOG for lunch (can't get reservations for supper)
- Park Faire booked for 4:30
- Hope to watch Electric Parade before we head back to villa I would do a day of EPCOT before a third MK. EPCOT is one of our favorite parks. We need more than one day. Maybe switch Day 3.

We love EPCOT as much or more than MK. We need to spend at least 2 days at EPCOT. We love all the restaurants in the countries - as well as the rides.

The pool at BC is great - and if the weather is good then you can spend hours at the pool.

So excited about your first visit. No matter what you do you will have a blast.
