Opinion on restaurants

We will be going to the World in October. I'm looking on opinions on places to eat for my family of 5. What would be good places to eat for My wife and I and my 3 sons- 12, 8, and 4? We aren't looking for exquisite, just good food and great atmosphere.

This October? It might be hard to get ADRs at some places this late... I'd recommend looking at Josh's reviews on easywdw.com. Don't worry, you will be fine! Are you looking for cs or ts? Any character meals?

Disney has some great chiices, at many price points

My favorite character meals include tusker house, crystal palaces and garden grill. Good food great character interaction, IMHO

For cs, we like flame tree in ak, cosmic rays in MK, sunshine seasons in the land in epcot and nothing really at the studios.

Ask as many questions as you like! We were all new at one point

You will be fine for ADRs. May have to be persistent for some of them.

Our girls are 5 and 9. Here are our picks:

Ohana dinner at the Poly
Tusker House breakfast at Animal Kingdom
Via Napoli in Italy at EPCOT
Hoop De Do Revue at the campground

There are tons of restaurants to choose from. I suggest www.allears.net to look at menus.

Derp! Sorry about that. I apparently can't do math in the wee hours of the morning. If you're booking 180 days out, you should be good... But aim to book BOG first. It fills up the fastest. I wasn't able to secure it even at 180+10 out for our honeymoon in December 2013. We only got a reservation because a DISer gave us hers when her trip plans changed.

Don't ever give up. I snagged a BOG for September 5th just the other day. Keep checking. You'll get one.
