Opinion on Bosch Dishwasher

Never buy GE profile my neighbor and I have had nothing but problems with them she has now brought a Bosch loves it. I had to have new pump in my 2 year old profile .The customer service awful guy dented my door had to come twice to realign it. Also brought cooktop parts broken their appliances badly made.

We have a Bosch and love it but it does have a few features I could live without. It is super quite and we love that. On the downside it smells all them time. We clean out the trap every day and it still smells. I suspect it is from the tight seal. Also, it is a tad bit smaller than our old Kenmore and ours does not have a heat option so my plastic takes forever to dry.

These are not deal breakers for us so we would buy one again.

Just bought a Bocsh 10 days ago. Not sure which model, it was just under $700 at Best Buy, free delivery free takeaway of old dishwasher. Our 4 year old Kenmore was leaking.

When we bought the Kenmore, we had 3 kids in college. We swore next time we would get a better model. My husband was about to get another $300 dishwasher, I reminded him of our resolve!

So far, we are happy with the Bosch. I put a glass lasgna pan in without even rinsing (would usually soak for a hour, then gently brillo and finish washing by hand.) It came out spotless!

The only downside was the smell the first week. It smelled sort of like diesel fuel? Some sort of chemical I assume? The owners manual suggested trying vinegar which helped but the smell is still very faint.

I don't DISLIKE it, but I wouldn't buy another Bosch. I need to clean the trap & filter everyday, which is kind of a pain, and because of the size I need to run it twice a day for my family of 5 on weekends when we eat all 3 meals at home.

It's quiet, but not any quieter than the Maytag that it replaced (loved that machine, but the house got hit by lightening and a lot of appliances got fried)
