Opinion of departure time?

In a about a month from now we will be leaving for Disney. We will be leaving Central Jersey on a friday taking the auto train in Lorton Va. The station opens at 11 am and last car allowed is 2:30 - 3:00 pm. We have made the trip before but usaually on a weekend so never had to deal with 'weekly traffic'. I'm thinking of leaving around 6 am that should hopefully be enough time to arrive. More worried about traffic around Baltimore and DC area. Anyone done this drive before to give me some insight. I don't care if we arrive before they open the station I know there are places to eat and if not we'll just get in line and catch some zzz'ss. Thanks
