Hi there!

I'm visiting the world once again this summer with a girlfriend (who has NEVER been to the world... shocking I know!)

Now all the restaurants I have my ADRs for I have eaten at before... one problem though: Please review this and let me know what you think...

Arrival: (1pm ish) Mon Aug 18th
...dinner at Chef Mickeys 6:45pm
*I have NEVER been at Chef Mickey's for dinner! Only breakfast about 6 times! ...the dinner menu on allears doesn't seem too great. Yet I know the atmosphere is what its all about. Thoughts?

Tuesday Aug 19th
*Breakfast at Boma
*Been to Boma as well... many times. Love, love, love the dinner! How's the breakfast?

We are only staying until Thursday Aug 21st... then heading to South Beach. I also have ADRs for California Grill (a must... on Aug 19th) and breakfast at Spoodles the day we leave. ...since we're only going to MK on Wed that cuts out a lot of options.

...what do you think? I'm not sold on Chef Mickey's din din menu? Should I try to work things around so I can have BREAKFAST AT CHEF MICKEYS and DINNER AT BOMA?

.... I just really wanna "ooo and ahhh" her. So maybe she'll come back without hesitation :woohoo:

I have to put in a vote for Boma all the way.

I can't speak for Chef Mickeys (which i know is not all that helpful!) but i would say that Boma is they way to go.

The breakfast is really good, although, there is not much difference in choices there are a couple of african items on the menu, all of which were lovely. The quality of the food that they serve is much better than any other buffett breakfast i have been to.

My only thought though, is if you are going for the wow factor with your girlfriend, perhaps go to Boma for dinner on the first night!! The jaw dropping experience of walking into AKL on her first night would be something i would love to see (especially if it is any thing like my husbands, she'll be raving about it for weeks)

Plus...............

Zebra Domes!!!!

My DH and I thought the food at Chef Mickeys was horrible although the kids didn't mind and the atmosphere is fun. We were on the free dining plan but if were paying oop we would choose something else. Breakfast at CMs was quite good, though.

Another vote for Boma, the breakfast is excellent :thumbsup2

We are going to Boma next week (breakfast) and we are so excited to try it.

We did Chef Mickeys for dinner and the food was horrible the character interaction was fantastic. We are trying breakfast there next week.

Have not done Chef Mickey's for years, but this past month we had breakfast at Boma's, it was a wonderful buffet.... We were not rushed, server was attentive with juice and coffee and we enjoyed the food immensely... I vote for Boma's, and I would go there again for breakfast. Very good food.

YES...

in regards to AKL and BOMA... I know that will make a great first impression! So we are dining here the night we arrive. She will def have the WOW factor!

...Chef Mickeys... I've decided to a breakfast on the day we hit MK... to get us in that "8 yr old with no worries" mood!

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!! :thumbsup2

We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner on our trip last September because oldest dd always wanted to go to the ice cream bar. None of us liked it except our three year old dd, but she likes everything Disney. Food was okay, not a great selection. Character interaction was rushed. I really preferred the breakfast over the dinner, but Boma for breakfast would be my choice.

Have a great trip.
