After 3years of cranking our travel trailer up and down everywhere we go we have decided to breakdown ,and buy an electric tongue jack. We are searching the wisdom of those who have them to help us in deciding which one to get. Please include the type of Jack , how long you have had it, and if you like it? Thank you.:confused3

I put a Barker 3500 on my TT a few months ago. We got good reviews from a friend that has been using the same for a year. I have used ours a few times and have not had any problems.

I have the same, barker 3500. Have had it about 5 years, and it has been on my 2nd trailer about 3 of those.Barker customer service is top notch.,they sent me a $20 weather cover ,free, just for inquiring about it.The only problem was a burnt up down switch, which was my fault for not waiting for moving the up/down switch too fast.It does come with a manual crank if something happens. The 3500 lifts my 31 bhds /2500hd :thumbsup2truck trailer combo, even with my golf cart in the truck without hesitation....

I bought an Atwood 3500, after going through two Ultra 3500s in a year. I understand that weather infiltration is the source of failure for many tongue jacks, and the Atwood cover is designed so that it is sealed from the weather. If you go with the others, make sure you add a cover.

By the way - this is a great mod, and very easy to do. Once you have gone there, you'll wish you had done it ages ago.
