Ophelia Hurricane and Hilton Head?

Does anyone know if Hilton Head is ever affected by hurricanes? We are currently buying into HH -- is there ever an assessment to cover damages?

That's the National Hurricane Center's hurricane archive. Among other things, it will show you hurricane tracks year by year.

Obviously, Hilton Head is in the coastal region of South Carolina and is in harms way...although my sense is that North Carolina gets hit a lot more often. The tracks will tell you the history, but nobody can tell you the future.
