Opera at Portofino

I saw somewhere that nightly opera style singers appear at the Portofino to serenade guests. I tried to look it up, and found Harbor Nights, which they say is only available 4 times a year. Does anyone know if Harbor Nights are an elaborate extension of the nightly show, or is it really only four times a year they have singers? Going in Sept for HHN, but this mom wants to sit the evening out, and I thought a little concerto might be a pleasant distraction.

Harbor Nights :yay: Great time, worth the $$. And you do get a large dose of the opera singers, along with an additional live band.

The singers are nightly, but it is relatively short show. Harbor nights are a more extensive show with food and wine. It is a ticketed event.
Thank you! A short show is perfect for me. A glass of wine, and a little music makes Momma a happy girl.

Thanks for your response. I doubt they will offer one when we go, but I'll keep my eyes open.

This is actually DH's favorite part about Portofino. A glass of wine at the Thirsty Fish in the Piazza while the opera singer performs reminds us of Tuscany. Very relaxing and "vacationy".

I don't know if you caught it, but there is a Harbor Nights scheduled for tomorrow, April 21. I doubt there will be one in September (they have four a year) since that's a relatively slow time, but you never know. They had one in February, now April; last year there was one in October and again in November. BUT they do move those dates around, so you might get lucky for September.

However, on the bright side: find out at the hotel when the non-Harbor Nights singers are scheduled, and on those nights wander over to the Thirsty Fish, get that glass of wine (and maybe a nice antipasto plate from Sal's), and enjoy the evening. It doesn't get much better.

My plan precisely!
