I'm looking for detailed information on the opening show at MK with Mickey & pals at the train station.

What time should we be at MK to see this?

Where do we go and where should we be?

Thanks.

We did not know about this until our last trip -- guess we are not as informaed as we thought we were!

You can see it basically anywhere from the turnstyle area before they actually open the park. As long as you can see the train station, you will be able to see the show.

It is pretty brief. The mayor of Main Street opens with a few words, then about a dozen or so CM's in "Main Street" attire do a neat song and dance. The mayor announces the train and it begins to pull into the station LOADED with characters. A family that has been preselected is on the train with the characters, and officially opens the MK with a count down and a handful of pixie dust.

As for arrival time, anytime before the MK opens is probably good. We just happened upon it on our last trip, and seeing all those characters at one time, and the atmosphere and all brought tears to my eyes!

We caught this on our last day a little over a week ago and thought it was cute. I think it started about 15 or so minutes before 9:00 am. We were at the turnstiles at about 8:30 or so and they go ahead and let you in, but then hold you in front of the train station.

Instead of the Mayor of Main Street like the previous poster had we had a citizen of Main Street as the main star.

We were actually surprised to see this because all of our other mornings at MK were Extra Magic Hour mornings, and they don't do the show for them.

The morning show starts at about 8:50. The characters are picked up by the train at 8:30 at Toon Town, so as long as you are there by about 8:40 you will not miss it :) As was stated they will let you in the turnstiles and then they hold you in front of the Mickey Floral (directly in front of the Train Station until the park is "officially" opened. It is a really nice way to open the park, with all the characters :)

Just FYI they do not do the morning show on Sunday and Thursday as these are the early open days for the resort guests.
