DCA's main entrance unofficially opens at 9:30am, and Guests can ride Soarin' before DCA officially opens at 10:00am.

We did this in Oct. '07.

Just wondering, how long have they been doing this?

Thank you, in advance. :goodvibes

We did it in 2005, don't know about prior to that. :)

I didn't find out about this until recently. :confused3 I am soooo taking advantage of this on my upcoming trip! :thumbsup2

They've opened at 9:30 anytime we've been there... :confused3 That's the BEST time to ride Soarin'!

They also have the Ariels Grotto breakfast opened for guest to go and also allow people to wait in line for Toy Story Midway Madness.

Can someone who has done this let me know - do you get through the ride in the half hour? or does it take a little longer? And are the Fps available then?

When we do this, we have been the first ones on the ride. We get out well before 10 AM, but we go in the off season so I don't know how hard it is to get on one of the first rides during busy times.

Say What???? I had no idea ! Guess who will be there at 9:30 A.M. in July? yep! thanks for sharing that awesome little tidbit. Dissers Rock..not just any rock... but HARD ROCK! lol!:thumbsup2

Wow, we have been in for the rope drop several times and I could have been riding Soarin instead...

Can you do this using the main entrance or does it have to be the GCH one?

We got in line just after 9, and were the second family at our gate. A family was chosen to open the park, then as I played with DS and hubby held our spot, that family "realized" that the park doesn't open until 10, and LEFT!!!!!

Hubby tried to make them stay, but they wouldn't believe him. He did convince others that it would be open soon, and when i got back he whispered the question of "that's right, right? it ALWAYS opens early, right?" :)

And right at 9:30 they got the family that was picked second to open the parks.

We got FPs for Soarin' (hubby split off from our group to get them, going in the entrance and out the exit as one should do but people rarely do) and got up to the rope before GRR, where we spent an enjoyable 25 minutes talking with people, joking with the CM at the rope, and seeing how many cute little girls were going through to the Ariel's breakfast.

You *can* wait at the other rope, and plenty of people did, the one that takes you past bug's land and WCT...

We didn't run, and we never had to stop in the TSMM line, and it was very good. :)
