Opening Day of Festival of the Arts

My family will be in Disney mid-January, one day in each park. My choices for MK and Epcot are either Thursday 1/16 or Friday 1/17. I had originally thought I would do MK Thursday and Epcot Friday but now I see Festival of the Arts starts Friday. So, my question is ...will the opening of the festival draw enough crowds that MK would be less crowded on 1/17, even though it is the Friday of MLK weekend? Or should I go to Epcot on opening day of the festival despite higher than normal crowds? Also... any chance the Epcot crowds on opening day would not cause longer ride lines because they would be there for the festival?

That Festival isn't really a big draw. Outside of a bunch of "influencers" and those that just have to be first to see something, which is very small, you probably won't notice a difference.
