Opening date for Expedition Everest??

Does anyone have an opening date for EE?? Will there be a soft opening for DVC members?

The DVC/AP preview is set up for January 26-29. Other than that I have not heard any dates for, soft opening to day guest or an offical opening date of the ride itself.

Not to worry, they generally have the ride open for a few weeks before the "official opening date"... When they say the offical opening is...that is usually the date of the press event for the ride when they officially dedicate and open it for daily operation. Most rides will be in a soft opening phase long before that. That just means that they are open, but can shut down at anytime without notice if they need to work on something or tweek the ride. If you are going to be there right before the official opening I am sure you will get a chance to ride it at some point during your trip.

Has anyone read where there is an AP preview? Either with the DVC preview (as in the past) or alone.
I have only seen info for DVC, not AP.

Don't worry M:S was open 2 months before the "Official Opening". That is just the day they have all the hoopla!

I am VERY excited about this ride. I don't know if DS will be as thrilled--he loves coasters, but is getting more timid as he ages (he'll be 10 in January). I thought they were supposed to be more bold at that age?? I still can't even get him on DINOSAUR!!!

I am sure it will be. With the Official opening only a week later, you can probably count on it being open at least for a portion of each day while you are there.

They may have soft openings in Feb. but I doubt they will be fully open then.
