Open Thread to VMK_Shorty UPDATE on my inferno

On May 17th I was scammed by another player out of my inferno, while I am not asking for the return of my inferno(although that would be nice)what I would like to see is that this player and his computer(s) are banned from playing VMK for life and that VMK from this point forward take a harder stance on these type of scams in the future.

Too many young, less savvy, players are scammed everyday by these disgusting players. I know better and was still scammed.

Picture proof of the event. This was not a trade, he was letting me hold his items while he borrow my inferno to take a photo and we were to exchange our items back after he made the picture.

picture links removed because they contain the ID of the scammer and are posted in my other thread with his id masked

While I know the borrowing or letting others borrow your items, blatant scams, which this was, should get the player and all his/her characters a total and complete ban.

While I know VMK can not inform me of any action that is taken against this player, I would like a return response to this inquiry.

Thank you for contacting us about your lost item. We have looked into the matter and discovered that the item was traded to another account on your IP address.

Based on the above we feel this is an issue you need to resolve with others sharing your IP address; the item will not be returned to you by VMK.

Then you did not do your research like you said...Maltoo traded to GothicMal and GothicMal traded it to the player who scammed me out of it, of which you have the name. Yes both Maltoo and GothicMal have the same IP as they are both me.

I am so over all of this. I am sick of these form letters you send out and the Non research that you do.

You will not hear from me again on this issue.

I can't believe that! It still agravates me that they do not treat everyone equally on this subject. I guess that is what we get for using multiple characters. Hopefully with time this will all get resolved. Wish there was something I could do to help.

GothicMal is not a Mule.

I play her everyday and have for quiet sometime as I no longer play Maltoo, with the exception of credit runs.

And I did contact VMK with GothicMal's acct not Maltoo. Even if I had not the pictures in my report show clearly who let the scammer borrow the pin
(and not return it) and it does not take a rocket scienist to check the IP of "XYZ" to see he is not now or has he ever had the same IP as me.

I am sure he and other staff will read this and I have forwarded a copy of his reply to others.

Sorry to hear that they really didn't look deeper into the problem.

You provided proof. All they had to do was check that player's logs as well as your own and see that this was a scam done against you, not by you.

They really need some people in there that's not afraid to do a little research.

VMK really needs someone who is on the ball with these things. Someone who really likes to sniff these snerts out and bust them.

Not people who barely look at anything and just click a form letter.

If it's a staff shortage issue, then Disney really needs to look at the big picture and either drop VMK like a rock(becuase it is becoming more and more unsafe for kids), or put some money into it.
