I will be going to DL in Sept for my sons 3rd birthday. My daughter will be 6 mos at the time. I am looking to see if you DIS experts can advise me of a spot where i can lay her on a blanket and just let her be free to roll around?? A grassy area? anything would be helpful. I've been a ton of times but I am at a loss...

The only large grassy area in DLR are all near the hotels. The closest one to the parks is between storytellers cafe and the pool. Also between the Great Hall and the pool. These are very close to the GCH exit/extrance to DCA. There are a couple of huge grassy areas near the pools and parking lot of the Disneyland Hotel. Cant think of anything in the parks though... Sorry!

Does she just roll over back and forth and stay on the blanket, or is she rolling across the room? There is a playground in the back of DCA (Fireboat) that has some open areas and is not often crowded - the flooring is that sort of spongy playground flooring if I recall, so it's much better than rolling on cement, but it's not exactly clean. :)

What about the Baby Care Centers? I can't say I have been in one at DLR but maybe somewhere (a couch, even) where she can roll around at least a little!

We took DS to WDW when he was 8 months, and he really seemed perfectly fine being in the stroller and being carried around. He was just so enthralled with everything going on around him that he didn't get fussy about not having the chance to roll around. When we got back to the hotel each afternoon and night, we of course let him loose!
