I talked to the painting office of our movers on Monday. The movers had damaged the wall so the painting guy called on Monday to set up a time to come repair it. The guy sounded perfectly normal. I got a call yesterday to confirm - I assumed it was the same guy. He sounded like he had laryngitis. I had to call back today to report a problem and when the guy answered I said "oh I am sorry you're still sick". He said "I have been like this for 30 years - I had cancer" :sad2: . I said "I am so sorry - I thought you were the same guy I had talked to before and that you were sick" he said it was okay and we moved on to the business at hand. But I feel so bad about it. He's probably used to it I guess - but still.

:grouphug: Don't feel bad I'm sure he's used to it and didn't think anymore about it. Of course I can't speak for him personally but I have a brother in law who was in a car accident when he was 5. He had his voice box crushed and since he was 5 (he's 38 now) he has sounded like he has laryngitis. It's sounds like it would be painful for him to talk but he says it doesn't bother him. People say things to him quite a bit because they think he too is sick. He says it doesn't bother him. He's just used to it and explains his situation. He really doesn't think anymore of it.

Hey, at least you cared enough to inquire about his health when you said you were sorry he was still sick. :)
