Open Mike Night - Everyone is Welcome

Marita, your description of the phases of Disney management dress code was a hoot! Especially the white belt/shoes and Bermuda shorts. I remember how much angst it caused at my office when some women wore the preppy/dressy Bermuda shorts look in the office.

Angel, Marita's right - if you need a translation, let us know!!! You must know what BORG means by now.

WT, your comment made me think of the opening for Two and a Half Men: Men, men, men, men, manly men . . . whoo hoo hooooo . . .

Cold at 60! Oh boy. Can I come work at your house this week? All I need is an internet connection. I promise to be quiet. You'll hardly know I'm there. :)

:wave2: Just stopped in during a commercial. I'm watching the new "Enterprise" series on the science-fiction channel. Any other "trekkies" besides me out there?

OHHHHH NOOOOO! I do not like Star Trek. At all. I've TRIED, though. I just dont get it. Back in the day, every boyfriend I ever had liked Star Trek. My current DH dislikes it as much as me, our marriage is based on this firm foundation of mutual dislike of Star Trek.

I wont hold this against you, though ;) If you wont hold it against me. Trekkies and Non Trekkies can get along and unite in harmony and peace.

OOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got my keyboard today! See how effortlessly I can type OOOOOOOOOOO's now????????????

It's the little things in life sometimes!

Everywhere, I don't know if you are all mad at each other or not :confused3

No Angel, nobody is mad at anyone.

I hate DVC is something I say quite often (related to work aspect of it) and WT just caught onto that.
And nobody can resist a good cracker, right?

It's going to be minus 21 here tonight, and the wind is blowing 40 mph. I hate winter. I'm always ready for it around the end of August, then by early December I'm ready for spring. I've always said I couldn't live anywhere that didn't have discernible seasons, but maybe I was wrong!

HI Brandt, good to see you again. Weather sounds frightful! And I thought I was freezing today. Of course I am way at the end of the line behind all the other folks in freezing areas, but then my blood is thin too (or so they say)

Stop by more often!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh, Marita, sooooooooooo glad yoooooooooou can type mooooooooooooore easily noooooooooooow!!! Let me know when you want to :sunny:

Kay, my DH is a HUGE Star Trek fan. These days, he mostly watches repeats of the original. I am pretty tolerant of it and (gasp! sorry, Uma!) even like some episodes. He has watched all of its incarnations over the years. It's his thang.

He is not a sports fan, unless you count watching a car race here and there. The only downside is the number of Star Trek collectibles he has accumulated. But as long as he doesn't complain about my scrapbooking and craft supplies, it's no big deal ;)

Just pile on a few Bichon Frises and you'll be all warm and cozy! How ARE those cuties??? Still my very best favorite breed. Did you see the Champ in the Eukaneuba Dog Show? Am I Off Topic again?

Look at her wuppy's wittle face! I want one SO bad!!!

WheatThins: 24 gives me nightmares if I watch it right before bed. I'm tender that way. So, I've recorded it. Dont ruin it, Jack! I have to watch it when I'm bummed or pissy. Or else, I'll get "the nightmares" .

Yes, it definitely sounds like a "three dog night"!

That reminds me of what my father used to say to our great big German shepherd, who tossed tires in the air for fun.

He'd look straight at the dog and say "Du bist ein Hund in meinen augen"

I will translate for the German challenged: "You are a dog in my eyes"

They have four back to back episodes tonight. I'm on a commercial again. :rotfl: This is a prequel to the original series. Actually, there are other science fiction series I like better, but I do enjoy Star Trek.

UMA, it's OK if you don't like it. "Live Long and Prosper" as Spock would say. :)

Ooooo, I AM!!! :furious:

Brandt, that sounds COLD!!! I have never experienced anything below 20 degrees or so. I can't even imagine.

Good evening friends!! :hippie:

Hi Toot!!!! How are you???? Why are you mad, baby?
We are a NICE place. I miss your Lolly, by the way. It always made me happy. I do like your "simmah", that's just cute and funny. :cutie:
