The kids finally went back to school, 2 hour late start. Wooo Hooo!

I went and bought out the produce section of our grocery store. I guess being out of fresh fruit for four days really got to me. I am not used to that anymore.

Hi! We're baa-ack!

Little Twinkerbell came through with flying colors! All procedures went well. Recovery is on track. She is asleep and should be 100% tomorrow.


My friend who was going to keep DS1 aka Little Man canceled at the very last minute so I just took him with me. I studied a map and didn't get lost! Even when the road I needed to exit on was closed. Yay me! The OR was running late so I spent hrs trying to entertain the kiddies in a very small room. Thank goodness it was a children's hospital with a lovely toy cabinet down the hall. Surgery went well. Had a nice chat with the doctor who didn't want to ok her to fly till I said where we were going then he got on board in a hurry and figured out a way to re-inforce the patch graft in her eardrum to make flying ok. Swimming is still a no-no but I am sure we can have lots of fun.

Only a week and lots of packing and a little planning left to do

I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders (now if DH could get a nice job offer this week then I would be )

I did not fall over board. I was without Internet all day. Can you imagine???

I am out of pocket from 8(ish) ayem until some unknown but late(ish) hour tomorrow. Selling cookies all morning, Pine Wood Derby all afternoon, and Sophia's birthday (belated) dinner out after that. Sunday I have cookie selling again, but I should have some free(ish) time. I hope. So don't have too much fun while I am too busy to play!

i got this postcard in the mail from Port Orleans Riverside. Actually it is from Improvement Field Operations

Anyhow, i was supposed to go to the website and answer a survey.

The second question that it asked me was which resort did I stay at. I clicked the box for Port Orleans.

Then the next question that popped up was: How many nights total did you stay at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.



So I thought to myslef, did I click the wrong box? So, I hit the back button and sure enough I hadnot clicked the wrong box. The site is jacked!

I sent them an email. Figure that they may want to know about the snafu.

One's where you can eat like 4 for a nice treat instead of the teasers of 1 per serving. LIKE THAT'LL EVER HAPPEN... I know I can eat a whole tube of Thin Mints or Peanut butter ones! I guess the girl scouts will set up tables at Walmart here in town. Must be strong!

I forgot to say..... being at children's hospital always makes me feel so grateful. I am so thankfu.

Everyone who still has kids at home: GO AND HUG THEM. Right now. Especially if they are already asleep. Whisper to them that you love them. Then do it again tomorrow when they are awake.

Hi all, checking in!

Today was indeed Ft Wilderness Party day. 11-5:30!!!!!!!!!! Argghhhhhhhh. I knew there was no was I was hanging out that late.

Lunch: My mind was all set for fried chicken, burgers, hot dogs and baked beans. But NOOOOOOOOO - BBQ chicken, Meatloaf (????????????????? what's up with Meatloaf?), stuffed pasta shells with tomato sauce (cant stand tomato sauce on pasta since my son's 2 year stint as a vegetarian), potatoe salad and hot red mashed potatoes and hot crusty rolls. So I decided on just the mashed potatoes and a roll with butter. The potatoes and rolls were good, but the butter was honey butter!!!!!! Honey butter? with meatloaf? So I ate the rest of the roll dry.

Games: The theme was tv shows. They divided everyone into teams (probably close to 100 people). The games were jeapeory, Deal or no deal, Win Lose or draw, Name that tune, and family feud. Each team cycle through all those. (I opted out of games and just observed).
BUT, that was not the end! Then came the reality shows: Treasure Hunt, survivor, Fear factor and the Gong Show.

At 4 pm the were just starting round 2 of 4 of fear factor, with the Gong Show still to come, before any adult beverages and snacks would be served. So I decided my GONG had come and went home.

I was starved when I got home and fortunatly DH bought some fried chicken from publix the other day, so I put one in the oven, and then took a nap for 2 1/2 hours. Guess all that fresh air tires me out, I'm not used to it.
Still kind of tired, so it will be an early night.
Twinkie, great news on the Princess.

Oh yeah, I also rec'vd in the mail the customized maps that I had made up well before our trip. They should have arrived in time for the trip, but instead that came a good 2 wks after the fact.
