 ..hey utahm.? send all your snacks over to me, and i'll
hold'em safe & tight.

hope evereything goes right pumba, :flower3:
[those situations are always tough]

I dont look like an old bag now......I had a hair restoration as my husband calls it or as he told my sister today.....she went in for an oil change and lube job.....rofl.....I always had mouse turd brown hair.....now I have a nice brunette that shines.....nothing worse then mouse turd brown I can tell you that..
Going to the hospital first to see mil and then over to the assisted living to see how my mom is settling in.......see you all later

Pumba, congrats on your oil change, LOL! I need one too. Two, actually, one for my hair and one for my car.

Your mom actually moved to an assisted living place? Did you not tell us this before, or did I miss that somehow? I know you were trying to get her to go. Glad she is though, it will make things so much easier all around, and give your mom the care she needs.

I finally got my work connection back, but the spell is broken, LOL. No more work for now. I think I will go get a pedicure, and I may cook dinner when I get back. Or maybe not! Anyone taking bets?

Moo, go to the pool! LY/MI

Hi, Lil G!!

okey oops......mom went from the hospital to the rehab unit at a nursing home....this place also has an assisted living facility too.....really nice place. My mil is at the hospital and has resided in an assisted living facility the last three years...she is waiting for her stats to be somewhat normal before she goes to the same rehab unit for her iv antibiotics that her assisted living facility can not do......they only do regular meds where she resides..
I am MESSED UP somedays....I know that today is Saturday at least......

Did I mention I bought a box of thin mints and a bag of Famour Amos chocolate chip cookies yesterday?
Of course, I totally forgot about them this morning, I will have to put them by the coffee pot for tomorrow.

Dunking cookies, mmmm, mmmm, good!

And now john mayer.
who I liked til I saw he KEEPS DATING Jessica Simpson. How stupid can you be? No piece of a** is worth that. Get a damn hooker.

Ok. This has been Morning Music Bites (what else can she eat?) with Amber! Thanks!!!

:lmao: :lmao: How true celery!

Lil G: I was a Reds fan all the way! As for the wooden bats, we live pretty close to the Louisville Slugger factory. I think I've chaperoned 3 field trips there. Little bit of trivia. Did you know the factory was actually in Jeffersonville, IN for years, and thus, the "Louisville" slugger was really maunfactured in Indiana:thumbsup2 They built a new factory in downtown Louisville a few years back...as it should be.

You did figure me out! I did have lots of little boy friends in elementary and middle school. I was such the tomboy. No princesses or Barbies for me (well a few). I was too busy climbing trees, playing baseball, basketball, playing in the creek and catching frogs and snakes.

BUT, around my sophomore year in high school. I had a realization, boys are nice as friends, but much more interesting as boyfriends. Aaah, the power of feminity.;)

Marita: sounds like wonderful weather in your neck of the woods. I'm jealous.

UtahM: read part of your trip report. LOVE the birth control pictures. too funny!:rotfl:

See the rest of you later.

HA! Like those would last 2 minutes in my house!!!!

Isn't a serving size for thin mints like 2 or 3? NOT THE WHOLE SLEEVE?

Geez, the computer keeps freezing up every 30 seconds....just like last time when we ended up having to get a new hard drive.

Marita: sounds like wonderful weather in your neck of the woods. I'm jealous.

This is my time of the year for weather. You will NOT be jealous come May-October!

I made it for my pedicure, and might I say my tootsies look lovely in red! This vietnamese lady kept talking to me, and I have no idea what she said. But the vibrating back massage chair was wonderful and she did a great job.

DH and my son (who does not live here anymore) made it back from Lacrosse, and both are passed out. I have no idea where DD is.

But I think I might actually make the stuffed peppers tonight, in honor of having my son here for dinner. Just give me 5 or 30 minutes to get up my willpower......... :hourglass

I looked up my stuffed pepper recipe, and realized I was a bit ditzy.

The recipe I wrote down for my DD calls for par-boiling the peppers in water, then adding the remaining ingredients, LOL. I left out the step about browning the meat and adding the ingredient to the meat, NOT the water!

After swimming for an hour (yay me!), I started two pots of chili! One is my Weight Watchers recipe for white chicken chili in the crockpot for lunches this week and the other is regular chili on top of the stove for tonight.

I can add macaroni to the chili for my hubby and call it goulash and he'll eat it. I've added Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies and some extra dark red kidney beans this time. We'll see if he notices!!! I'm going to try using whole wheat macaroni, too. But that might be pushing it a little too far . . .

Marita good thing it wasn't you DD making them then. I think I would cook the meat....:lmao:

Moo did you make it to the pool? I was over at the Wish thread last night, you are doing so well.

Lil'g good thing you have a dog to blame for all you accidents. I think she knows better though.

UMA cookies don't last in our house either. Or snacks that were meant for school lunches. But of course no one ate them. It must have been Lil'g's dog.....:rotfl2:

Did you see Britney Spears shaved her head. Show business does not agree with this girl. And her poor little kids.

So we leave in 6 days, to Disneyland!

But my 17 year old has to stay home for his Full Time job at Arbys (he's doing training) and is in college classes he can NOT miss. He WANTS to stay home, too. So the rest of us went shopping today and when we got home the microwave was on fire! :scared1:

He had put my really nice flax seed neck pillow that you microwave for 30 seconds, take it out and shake and microwave again, (repeat)for 6 full minutes!!!!!! It was put in the microwave awkwardly and so the carousel would not turn. So my lovely neck warming flax seed and lavander neck pillow caught fire and totally ruined our microwave! (in the dumpster now!)

He was SO appologetic, but I just said, "Let's look at all the lapses in COMMON SENSE in this situation!" and proceeded a 20 minute lecture :teacher:

P.S. His Girlfriend is out of town durring the week we're gone or I'd be dragging him to DL!!!! And ALL my neighbors have my cell phone number and the info. that NO one is allowed over!

Hi Open Mikers!!

DH had our Valentine's date today. We went down to Fredericksburg and had an early dinner at Melting Pot. I LOVE that place!! Fondue Rocks! While we were there we made a reservation to come back again in 3 weeks, taking the girls this time. I think they'd love it.

Then we went shopping at Yankee Candles, where they were having a Presidents day sale! I got two electric tart warmers for the price of one! And a whole bunch of tarts. My house is smelling GOOD!!

UMA!!!!!!! Did that scare the carp out of your son? Or just you?

I would have second thoughts about letting my kid cook anything while I was away if that happened at my house! Just leave coldcuts and cheese in the fridge and $$ for pizza . . .

Nab - I almost turned around and left when I saw how many kids were at the pool today, but I forced myself to get in the water in the lap section. That wasn't too bad - only a splash now and then from the diving section or balls being batted into the deep end. Fortunately, it thinned out a bit after the first half hour. During open swim, you're only supposed to be in the water for 60-90 minutes or you have to pay again. You should say hi over on the WISH thread!

BTW, the chili was GREAT! But it was too spicy for my DH, so I guess I'll have to eat it all.

OOOOHHH NOOOOO! I hope he's planning to eat all his meals at Arby's!

Hi Toots you sound like you had a good day.

Are tart and tart warmers like little tea candles.:confused3 I don't know much about candles but that they smell nice.

I am to scared the kids would knock them over and burn the house down. That and a friend of ours had their cat knock over a candle in their old house and they had to rebuild the whole thing. I am a worry wort.

UMA glad everything was okay. You didn't install cameras around the house did you. I am sure he will be fine. Scary when they are grown up enough to actually be away from home for school at 17 and 18.Or stay home from vacations.

Yup, he just gets sandwich stuff and cereal. :confused3 I'm sure he'll be fine. No, really. It'll be just fine! It's only 5 days. What could happen????

Did I mention...We walked in on the fire, with him on his "bum" watching TV. The mirowave STILL HAD 2 MINUTES left of the 6 he set it for!!!!! He didn't even smell it. Oh Lord. This is my grandbabies daddy some day (in 10 years!)

No it's 13 degrees down there! It's waiting till warm weather and the magical sheet rock fairy to come! It's all framed and wired, though.

Toot- have you heard of Scentsy Candles??? The are heated by warmer too. It'sa a 25 wt. light bulb that warms them and one bar (about $4) lasts as long as a large Yankee! They are just the greatest! what scents do you guys like? I like "baked" ones. Right now it's Rum Cake and it is to die for. Smells like Sugar Cookie to me, but better.

The real question is what could not happen:rolleyes:

But the odds are at least 50-50 that your house will still be there when you get home;)

Now that is scary UMA, what was he warming the neck thing a bobber for. Just to relax, surely not to eat or you are in big trouble :lmao:

I know you would know candles UMA. Do you have an Easter decorations up yet.....
