I received a offer for discounted 5-night resort stay at the new cooper creek villas one bed room, with the completion of a open house tour. The dates available are appealing. My biggest question is the details have the tour at 60-90 minutes. Do the tours really last that long? If we say we are not interested up front will it lessen our time ? Is it worth putting aside two hours of one of our vacation days to do this?
if you would like to share your experience with a tour please do :flower3:

Uh, what?

Go on....

lol, yes Disney is dangling a discount in my face for the cooper creek villas at Disney Wilderness Lodge " for the purposes of soliciting sales of timeshare"
I know we all get different discount offers and pin codes I'm sure other people have received the same offer.
right when I saw the mail I told my husband I was very much interested in taking advantage of this offer. I told him we could use the morning of a party day to take the tour. I have read the fine print and seems pretty straight forward. Of course I would call and confirm any questions I had before committing to the offer.

Saying no upfront probably won't make things any shorter. They have a spiel they go through and they'll use every second of that time.

If you need any encouragement, go find the episode of South Park where they go to "Aspen" and the parents look at a timeshare.

Just remember, if you smell smoke but don't see the fire, best to turn away.

To my knowledge, DVC doesn't follow up. We took the tour several times over the years before we purchased and they NEVER called us unless it was returning a call from us.

On the forums I've read some stories.

We've thought about doing the tour for the gift card when they had that "incentive" but we valued our time in the parks, so we just vacationed. We rent points and are trying to experience the different resorts with hopes of some day maybe being able to afford to buy in.

To date, DVC tours have been no pressure and no hard sell. I have not heard of them offering discounted resort stays before this.

I received the same offer. Unfortunately, I already have a trip planned for Oct--renting points--so non refundable. They offered me 5 nights for $2000.

I too have this offer. Unfortunately, I live in PA and won't be in FL until our next Disney vacation next year.

I received the offer as well (or at least my mom did as it came in her name but to my address). We would be interested but problem is that we are a family of 5 and the one bedrooms fit only 4. Any thoughts if they would be willing to negotiate the deal at all? Put us in another DVC or give us a 2 bedroom? I really wish they had the twin sleeper sofa in the one bedrooms!

The Copper Creek villas were converted from Wilderness Lodge hotel rooms. The studios, therefore, are smaller than in other DVC resorts and there is no room to add the sleeper chair. That is why they will only allow 4 in those studios (plus an infant in a pack and play).

We did the spiel one year on a whim, just walking by a booth at Epcot and my son and his then wife said they had always been interested. We didn't get a tour, we were taken to the office at BW (where we happened to be staying in a studio at the time) and shown a video on the TV. The salesman gave a pretty hard sell, which the kids bought into despite my trying to talk them down and begging them to think about it for a day or two. Thankfully, when they divorced she got the DVC, thus the debt that went with it. I would take the deal to get to see WL, but we aren't hard core park people and would look at it as just some rest time. I did get a few phone calls from DVC and a few things in the mail after that because I didn't bite.

Chances are poor of there being any villas available at other DVC resorts but the developer may be able to offer a 2-BR at CCV (for more money, of course!) There's no way to know until you call.

]It does say cooper creek villas & cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The cabins sleep 8 I would call and ask if you are interested, you never know until you ask.

I received the same offer.

DH and I did a tour during our vacation in July 2015. (We only did it for the three free fast passes per person and to see a bungalow) We told them that upfront. He still went through the same presentation and didn't seem to shave any time off for us. He was very nice and knowledgeable.

We continue to get mailings and a few emails, but nothing major. Definitely worth it to us.
