Open bottle can I bring it?

I am not sure of the "policy" on this..But we did it last Sept.. with more than one bottle. We did keep it with us, and well wrapped..So, no accidents with ours, or other people's luggage..

I am sure they saw this on the scanner..

Trying to remember.. THinking we had at least a wine bag thingie, and then wrapped it in many dirty clothes, so it had a safe tight spot in the carry on bag..
