I just had to post - so excited!!!! DH and I are going to be in Orlando for a conference in early November, and I have been asking if he'd do quick add-on stay at WDW for months. The reply was always no...his only trip to WDW was last year in mid-July with my extended family, and although it was fun, it was chaotic. He was reluctant to go back after a week of working a conference. However, when the conference hotel didn't have any availability on the last night, I saw my chance and grabbed it! (Batting eyes innocently: "Oh, well - maybe we should just go stay at Disney for a night or two?") Initially, he wanted to try USO instead, even though I kept dropping hints about the Food and Wine Festival.
This morning, we had a breakthrough when I mentioned something about watching a Harry Potter movie before we go so we can appreciate that part of USO more. DH must not want to watch anything Harry Potter-related, beacuse all of a sudden, Epcot and FWF became appealing! The bottom line -USO is out. WDW is in. And because he wanted to stay as conveniently to Epcot as possible and none of the Epcot resorts have availability, we booked what was closest to the TTC: Poly. And since the only availability at Poly was a concierge-level lagoon-view room, I may have accidentally booked that.
Oops! I mean - YAY!
