We're leaving for WDW in two days. I was getting organized over the weekend and realized I never received my yellow luggage tags from AAA. Feeling sort of like a dope right now, especially since this is our sixth trip in less than 5 years. It is our first ME experience and I have been busy. I left a message with my AAA TA but she won't be in until Monday. Is it the end of the world if I don't get them? This was my first time using AAA, always booked directly with Disney for past five trips. Reaffirming my preference to planning my trip myself. Happy Eastet to everyone! Maggie

Nope, not the end of the world at all. I would call DME directly, just to be sure they have you in their system. Then, when you get to MCO, you can either go to baggage claim and grab your bags and take them to the bus with you, or go to DME checkin desk and give your baggage claim checks to them and they will get your bags and put them on the truck. I would get my own bags and have them with me, on the bus....just to be on the safe side. Have a great trip!!

This happened to us last year. I pretty much freaked out at one CM, but did apologize later...our luggage tags did not come due to a computer malfunction. I was told to put something on our luggage to make it look distinctive (that's the main purpose of the tags, so they can be easily identified and pulled from the baggage claim, they also let them know where you're staying). I always pick a funky colored ribbon to attached to my luggage for that purpose anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. When we checked in at the ME counter, we told the CM our luggage didn't have tags and the color of the ribbons we used instead. It was very easy and organized. We got on the bus and went off to WDW. We checked into our room and went off to the parks. When we came back from our day of fun, our luggage was already in our room waiting for us! I know ME had some problems when they first started, but the kinks seemed to have been worked out, unless you switch resorts during your stay (which we did). That really wasn't a big deal either - we had to go to concierge to confirm they had us in the computer for ME back to the airport because we didn't get our instructions (time to be picked up, etc) the day before we were to be leaving (has to due with the computer system - I'm told the resort we originally checked into got the paperwork). Sorry this is sooooo long...I guess all I'm trying to say is don't worry - it'll all be OK! :wizard:
