Oops.. I forgot to use coupon in Target toy book..

I did a site to store order and purchased the Disney Infinity set yesterday. I picked it up and once I got home I released I forgot to use the $5 off coupon in the Target catalog. I called the online number(since it was placed online but picked up in store) and they said they couldn't do anything.

I guess I am out $5 but it just seems a bit stupid to me that they won't just credit it? I worked at a customer service desk for years and we always took coupons with the receipt.

Anyway just wondering if I bring the coupon to the service desk at Target they might redeem it? I could always return the order and reorder which seems like more of a hassle to both of us than them just scanning the coupon and giving me $5.

I know I'm cheap but $5 is $5 and I hate to just throw it away.

I didn't know you could order online and pick up in store! Anyway, I think they could credit you if you being the reciept and coupon but I'd at least bring the game just in case you have to return and re-buy.

This happened to DW on Sunday, it was an instore purchase. She forgot the coupon at home, and went into the store expecting to have to return, then repurchase and they just gave her the credit back without all that hassle. Not sure if it is different for online purchases but they SHOULD credit back.

I agree...take your receipt and coupon to the store. Be sure to have the game in your car. Then, if they give you a hard time, state the obvious to the customer service rep in a very nice way. You have the item in your car if they would prefer you return it and repurchase it with the coupon.

Just wanted to add be sure the coupon is valid for what you purchased before you go through that extra effort. I think my coupon said $5 off toy purchase. Not sure if Disney Infinity is a toy or a video game?

I am trying to use mine on-line to buy a TMNT toy and it keeps telling me I don't have the right priced item in my cart, but I do have it! I am going to try again later and if it still doesn't work, call CS. Good Luck, thats annoying when that happens.
