OOP raglan rd or mama melrose?

We need to pay OOP for one meal and it's between these two. I've looked at the menu like 30 times, and we're about dead even on prices. We don't order desserts out ever, so we wouldn't order a dessert for the OOP meal. Basically I'm basing my decision on 1. How filling the food is, and 2. Who has better desserts, that we wouldn't wanna go without trying! Neither of us have ever tried either restaurant.

I think the food is really equally filling and you'll find desserts on each menu you'll enjoy. The main difference between these is atmosphere. Loud live music/dancing pub atmosphere vs a much quieter intimate atmosphere.

Raglan Road is the only one we have gone to, but after looking at the menu for both of them, I would use the Dining plan for Raglan Road and pay oop for Mama Melrose if it were my family. Mainly because the deserts at Mama Melrose don't look as appealing (except for the Tiramisú). I don't think we would miss out not ordering desert at Mama Melrose where as Raglan Road has the delicious bread pudding that is worth trying! Raglan Road has wonderful traditional Irish food as well as favorites everyone loves. We have never been disappointed and always leave stuffed.

Raglan Road has wonderful desserts. The Dunbrody Kiss is one of our favorite DW desserts so it is one we always order. We've ordered several other desserts and they have all been delicious as well. Entrees and appetizers have been equally good. Definitely use your dining credits at RR and pay OOP at MM.

I really enjoy the desserts at Raglan Road- I don't really remember the one I had at Mama Melrose.

If you are at HS for the day, Mama Melrose is easier, but we prefer the food at Raglan Road. As for dessert, we have a hard time resisting.

We have a reservation at both! I just wasn't sure which one we should pay OOP since they're both comparable for us price wise.

I am guessing there are two of you on the dining plan and it doesn't matter which one you use the dining plan at? Use one dining plan credit at each, and then pay for one out of pocket at each. If you don't normally get dessert, you could share one at each place. And if it just so happens that one of you want the most expensive meal at one and the other wants to get the most expensive meal at the other, all the better.
