Hello,
Just a question regarding paying OOP while on DDP. How do you decide what to pay OOP for? Obviously TS credits should be used, but do you just wait til you run out of credits and then pay OOP? Do you pay all non character breakfasts OOP and then use QS credits for lunch? How do you indicate you would rather pay OOP? Do you charge it to the room, use a credit card? We had DXDP last time, and had credits left over at the end so these issues didn't come up, but found in the end it was very convenient, but a total waste of money. We ended up not using enough TS credits and using more QS. This time plan on one TS per day, including one signature Hoop de Doo. Staying 9 nights, 2 adults/2 kids.

If you have a TS that takes two credits, I would just pay OOP for the cheapest TS that you have. Or just dont do a TS that day and eat a cheaper QS OOP. We have never booked a 2 TS so we never have had to pay OOP for a meal. We eat breakfast in our room.

I would pay OOP for the least expensive meals. All Ears has the easiest menus to review with pricing to make that decision. Breakfasts are usually the least expensive single credit meals with a few exceptions.

We just got back on Sunday and this is what we did. We had to shift some ADR's due to the fact that my oldest DD got sick on arrival day and didn't feel better until the day before we left. Because of this she ended up missing out on quite a few meals that we had planned. We originally had two character breakfasts booked and did not use TS credit for those as they were the cheaper meals planned. Instead we paid OOP and used our TIW card which worked out great.

use the credits first. You never know what might pop up and change your plans. We paid OOP for a TS meal to use 2 credits at Brown Derby. Well, our last TS was on a F&WF day and we REALLY didn't want to eat anymore because of all the noshing we did. If we had used credits instead of OOP on the earlier meal, we would have just skipped the last meal.

Things happen, people get sick, plans change. Yes breakfast is the cheapest to pay OOP for so if you're SURE you'll use everything else, that would be the time to pay OOP.
