Ooooh!! Coooold!!!

16 degrees RIGHT NOW at 1:45 pm. The high today was at midnight. Temps been dropping ever since...

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh. Don't remind me that it is coming. While I do love living in New England, I wish that winter only lasted a month. With snow just for Christmas. It is getting old, fast. DH and I are talking about moving south when the boys hit college age.... we would do it sooner but we share our kids with our ex's so it just isn't in the cards at this point. I hate the bitter cold of winter so bad that I cry when I have to go out when it is frigid. I'm tired of driving in bad weather, the bitter cold, and heating costs!

Then you need to move out to New Mexico. It's a sunny beautiful 72 degree fall day today. We get snow maybe twice in a winter season.

We did have one huge storm that dropped 18" to 2' of snow a few years ago, but for the most part we usually only get a 5-6" of snow for the entire winter season. December and January are our coldest months, with an average high in the upper 40s. Nights are cold -- down into the 20s. The mountains are right at the edge of our city and the usually get plenty of snow for playing through February if you get the urge.
