We are expecting a hard freeze tonight. Going to be 25 degrees!!!! I saw snow twice today for about 5 minutes and it is forcasted for Saturday.

Giving you the evil eyes...

It's still in the 80's here, high 80's... Only for a few days a week ago were we able to leave the windows open. It'll be nice when we can turn the AC off for a longer time, actually make a dent in the electric bill.

Could you please blow it down this way, I am in Florida and it is still in the 90"s.

We aren't quite that cold in the cities-no snow yesterday either-but I wish we would get the freeze--our allergies have been HORRIBLE this fall!!

Well, i may have lied to you. i have 1 1/2 inches of snow on my deck tonight. By tomorrow it should be 5 or so inches. It is cold. 27 but the wind has died. First snow of the season!! It's okay my hubby sells furnaces! Just glad the Twins are not outside this year. The Yankees would need their snowpants!!Twins may play in shorts. Ha! Go Twins. Close this inning!!

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh. Don't remind me that it is coming. While I do love living in New England, I wish that winter only lasted a month. With snow just for Christmas. It is getting old, fast. DH and I are talking about moving south when the boys hit college age.... we would do it sooner but we share our kids with our ex's so it just isn't in the cards at this point. I hate the bitter cold of winter so bad that I cry when I have to go out when it is frigid. I'm tired of driving in bad weather, the bitter cold, and heating costs!

We woke up to 4 inches in our yards this morning and it is supposed to get down to 8 degrees tonight. We are in Western Montana. Brrr. Too early for this!

I am in Maryland and it is so weird tonight. At 10:30 pm it is still 78.

Still wearing shorts in NC....but it's very fickle this time of year and could be cold any day.

We're send this your way. Be there in a few days. Canada did us the favor of sending it down. :)

I'm up in Manitoba. Two weeks ago it felt like summer. I was at a wedding and was able to wear a strapless dress in the daytime and only need a little sweater at night.

Tonight it felt like winter. I went out for the evening to the movies and put on my winter boots, winter jacket, gloves and a scarf (and I was still freezing outside). It's only a bit below freezing but the blowing winds and snow totally had me shivering with my scarf tightly wrapped around! Only 14F windchill, but I'm not used to it yet. What was grass this morning is now covered in a couple inches of white fluffy snow (though it will probably melt this year still... it's a bit early for it to stick around for the season just yet).

Snow here today, and the low tonight is going to be 10 above. I am so looking forward to going to our disney vacation in 50 days! :santa:

I bolded those sentences in your quote because I say the same thing every year.

Snow for the holidays is beautiful but I'd enjoy the holidays even without it. The most dreadful are the roads. You might see 10 cars in ditches at any time. Nov - April it seems like everyday there is a storm. Even a trip down the street is risky. The daily commutes to work, kids going to school, college kids who commute, running errands ... it's trecherous. And when the roads are cleaned, it snows all over again! I've had some incidents myself, and one of my greatest fears is driving in the snow. Luckily, my family helps me out with transportation when it becomes too tough for me to handle! :lovestruc

But for those of you who enjoy it, go ahead! Just as I love the summer, surely you have a lot of great memories with your winters. :)

I enjoyed reading you guys up north. I guess winter is coming early? Or is this normal for you guys?

I know here in MO last yr. trees were changing beginning in Nov. Now we are in full fledge changeover to fall.

It is 36 here this morning, so no freeze yet. I am in the bluffs and with all the rain we had it is solid fog out there. Looks like a horror movie.:lmao:

Aw man, don't tell me we are going to skip fall. I hate winter with a passion! It felt like we had nine months of it with hardly any signs of summer. Breezed right through spring with summer feeling like spring, and now here we are back to to crap!!!

No, this is NOT normal. Usually this time of the year we are still in the upper 50's low 60's for day time highs. We had a very cool summer, hottest September on record and now headed for the coldest October on record-CRAZY weather this year.

We have about 5 inches of snow this morning. Woke up to my DD (10) looking all over for the snow gear to go play! I had to hide my uggs because she couldn't find her snow boots. At least someone here is happy about it!
