DH was just on the internet fooling around disney.com and was looking to see if there were any available rooms during Thanksgiving week when we'll be there and guess what????....

The only available room left is a tent lot at FW!!!!! Everything is full for Nov 23-28. Hmmmm.... me thinks WDW will be crowded as heck Gonna be lottsa skin-to-skin!

This should be interesting... I've never experienced skin-to-skin at WDW. It's a good thing I have PSs up the wazoo already. Bring it on!!!

WOW-Thank goodness I don't arrive until the 29th. I plan on staying away from MK that whole weekend. Of course that will be difficult since that and O'hana's is my traditional holiday start.

I, too, am glad I arrive on the 29th (and can't wait to see so many of my fellow Dismembers - that just sounds wrong every time I type it).

Anyway, I want to avoid MK that first weekend, but since I arrive on Saturday and that's the only night the park is open late and has both Spectro AND Wishes, I'll be braving the crowds for at least the evening on Saturday. I figure I'll just hold my nose and dive on in! I figure I'll have the rest of the week, when all the Thanksgiving crowd clears out, to enjoy everything else!

ooooo... aren't you a meanie!!! (just kidding). Actually here's the newest scary part... DH just got off the phone with DMIL. She called WDW cause she hadn't gotten the confirmation of our ressies at POR, well guess what they told her....

Sorry we don't have any record of your final payment and we're about to give the room away!

Now, at this point I can only imagine my DMIL freaking out and screaming on the phone, cause she made the final payment on her credit card 2 weeks ago.

Man... wouldn't that just suck, if our trip suddenly got cancelled! Whew... good thing my DMIL decided to give them a call. So now, Disney is going to rush her the confirmations... so let's cross our fingers.

We'll be braving the crowds to 11/19 - 28th. Have our ps so we are ready this will be our 1st holiday week at Disney.

Ditto for us we are leaving for home on the 23rd too. But we are then headed to NYC 2 days for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, I don't know which is worse

I decided last night ( Monday) that we would fly down for Thanksgiving week. When I went to the Disney site and put in a request for a quote on a deluxe, it came up with availablity at only the Yacht Club. When I requested a moderate, it came back with availablilty for all three properties (with an arrival on 11/22). Their site does not offer you a moderate or value resort when your initial inquiry is a deluxe. Interesting.

That is interesting Real Loser. Starting about a month ago I would put in AKL for the 26-29(we have had reservations there at least 6 months) just to see if they were booked yet. And they were! Last few weeks it would go through that "receiving alternate resorts" at least 10 times and come up with nothing. Before that it showed a value and once a moderate. Glad we have ours at least !

It may not be as bad as it seems. Even if they are sold out only 1 night, Thanksgiving for example, it will show no availibilty for the whole week.
