That was the issue - they didn't use the Waiting Room. It was definitely in the order that you joined the queue.

If you signed up for the email notification, they send you a unique link. Has to be used within 10 minutes once the queue is open for your slot. I'm guessing you just have to share that link (if you want to that is) and people have 10 mins to use lol.
