We know we cant see everything as DD's will get tired so we have tried to give DDs as much Disney magic as possible.

I was thinking of a beach day for ?????????? day, but don't know how practical this is. Any thoughts.

I am also thinking of Chef Mickeys, but haven't booked yet.

8 weeks to go. :hourglass

ANy thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

We'll also be there in October, Steve :thumbsup2 . This will be our 15th trip and I would implore you not to have a rest day on your first day. You will be awake at the crack of dawn and mega excited. It's a waste of a day, IMHO - you'll spend it itching to get to Disney. Animal Kingdom would be a good bet for your first day (given that you're committed to MK on the second and I can see that you wouldn't want to do that two days on the trot).

I'd recommend getting there for park opening, which you'll easily manage thanks to the jetlag. For the same reason, you'll also be tired early, so you can head back to the villa and chill as soon as you've had enough.

I don't ever remember spending whole days at the villa. We tend to combine such days with shopping, say, or maybe a trip to the BoardWalk, Downtown Disney or a restaurant.

If you're anything like us, you'll use your itinerary as a guide, but you'll find yourselves doing things differently as the mood takes you. Even after 14 trips, it's hard for us to imagine what we'll want to be doing every moment of every day.

I agree with Deb, you & the kids will be bouncing off the walls at 6am on your first day so dont waste it!

I agree with the rest! No matter how tired you are from travelling at 5 am you will be wide awake! Use that early morning to get to a park for opening. Mk is a great first park as it eases you in and there is no better start than seeing the castle!
Also, if your girls tire easily and you want to do as much Disney as possible maybe you could think about leaving Universal for another trip? Disney is HUGE! Its far bigger than anyone realises and its very hard to do it all in 2 weeks, especially when its your first trip. If you plan to do loads of other stuff as well you will be so tired and will miss alot of Disney stuff. Mk needs a minumum of 2 days (esp with little ones), Mgm is a day or so, Epcot is a minimum of days and so is Animal Kingdom. Plus after that you will just want to keep going back and doing your fave bits!! Just an idea. :)

Shameless plug, but may I suggest the DIS meet on the night of the 22nd? Its at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney so won't cost you a park day ;) (PM if you're interested in further details)Otherwise the plan looks really good, might see you at MNSSHP on the 26th. have a great time,

When we went on our first holiday to orlando we did Seaworld the first day,it sort of eased us into useing park maps, getting used to waiting in line and when we went it did not seem as busy as the other parks.

I'll take your advice on the first day and I think we will do AK and have a quieter day later on in the holiday.

Thanks everyone

Stephen
