Ontario or Orange County airport?

Orange county is closer, but I have found Ontario (ONT) cheaper most of the time and since we rent a car (4 of us in the family) it's not a problem. If you are doing a shuttle or taxi, then definitely go through Orange county (SNA)Ontario is a very laid back airport unlike LAX. We try to fly to Ontario if it saves us more than $15-20 a ticket. It only took us about 35 minutes the last time to get from the rental car area to Disneyland from Ontario. We travelled through LAX last time and I will NEVER do that again, not worth the extra cash that was saved!

Hope that helps!

We usually fly into Orange County(SNA), it's so close to DL, altho the wait for the security check on the way home was ridiculously long.
I was checking into using the Long Beach airport, Jet Blue had cheap flights arriving at LB.

While researching a trip for this December, flying with Southwest Airlines, I have found the fares into the Ontario airport to be the cheapest. Our trip this December will be our first, so I can't comment on either airport, but the cost savings was significant enough to make Ontario the no-brainer choice for us.

Ontario is a very nice airport. Its really my favorite one to fly into, because its so easy to get through security, its never crowded and hectic like Orange County can be and LAX always is! I think somebody told me that Ontario is primarily for carriers like Fed Ex and UPS, so there aren't as many passengers. However because its further out I have to be able to save more than $100 total for the four of us to fly in there. Because the cab fare for Ontario generally runs us about twice what the cab fare to and from Orange County is. A cab from Orange County to one of the Disneyland area hotels is around $45-50 each way. Whereas Ontario's was nearing $100 (with tip)each way as I recall. At times I have saved as much as $400 total so that made the extra cab fare and time spent getting to and from this airport worth it. It just depends on what city you are flying from into Los Angeles as to what flights and fares are available. From Denver, TED, always has these super cheapo fares into Ontario.

We did Jet Blue to Long Beach and it was a great experience. We'd do it again, but the southwest flight times were a better fit (and their price this time was $20 cheaper per person than Jet Blue).
