We have happily customized our magic bands for our August trip.
We booked a package,including dining and tix.

However,we're then offsite-so does that mean we no longer use magicbands and get tickets instead?

As long as you have "days" left on your MB it should work for you.

To be honest as of right now so many of the validation checks are disabled it should work fine.
