We will be driving to WDW, and while we really want to stay at a monorail resort, we will most likely be at a mod or value. We have a 3 y.o. daughter, so ease of transportation is important. Is it easier to take buses or drive our own car to the MK? Is there a dedicated parking lot at the parks for onsite resort guests? Thanks!

There is no special lot for resort guests at MK. You would have to park with everyone else and take the tram to the ferry or monorail. The resort bus would drop you off the closest to the park entrance. There is a bus drop off to the right of the entrance. Each resort has a specific area that has sign and you get off and just take the short walk to the entrance. There are no special parking areas for resort guests at any of the parks.

MK is the only park that, IMO, makes sense to use Disney Transportation on a consistent basis because of where the buses drop people off versus where the parking is (although, IMO, the buses should have never been placed where they are). The only other time Disney Transportation makes sense is to EPCOT when you drink around the world ;)
