Here to save the day.
All three resorts have special motion sensors by the front doors. This will turn the AC off when you leave the room. When you return it will turn on and quickly cool. But you can override it.
I know at RPR this works.
Now that we have been at PBH a few times now and next week it's missing the on off button but engineering did it for us.
Never stayed at HRH but it should be there too.
1) Press the power button and the down arrow button simultaneously. The letters "bp" should appear in the display indicating you are in "bypass" mode. Then you can use the up/down buttons to set the temperature. You may have to do this every 24 hours or every few days.
2) You can also call star service and ask for engineering. They can program the AC from there.
The lowest it will go is 65 and it gets pretty cold. If you find out the AC is not blowing enough or cold enough just call star service. They will come up and adjust or change filter. The filter is one of the biggest issues I run into. I have to have my room cold to sleep.
This is one of the greatest things about these AC units, they are actual small central AC units and not noisy window or wall shakers.
