We've always used Mears, and to be honest, the last couple of trips have taken us a LONG time to get to our own resort after dropping off other folks.
Can you give me an idea of $$$ for 2 people if we used some type of towncar or taxi?
What would you recommend?
thanks to all!

It varies by which company you choose and which resort you are staying at. It could be as low as $80 or as high as $110. I have made an FAQ, which I'm going to bump up to the top of the page now, which lists all of the towncar companies. :sunny:

We are using Murray Hill on our upcoming trip in December! It is $80.00 round trip (DH, me, and DD) to Pop Century.

Got a rate from Murray Hill of $80 for DW & I for our February trip. Plus, I'll tip $10 each way for a total of $100.

We did Mears once, and only once. I hated spending an extra 45 minutes waiting to get to WDW.

We have used both TTC and FL Tours and were very happy with both.

FL Tours is a sponser of this board and that is why we used them on our last trip.

I highly recommend using a Town Car service.

A towncar is definately worth the extra money!!!! You get picked up at baggage claim, helped with your bags, taken directly to your resort, and some even offer a grocery stop! I would definately do some more research if I were you, it's worth it!!

which town car service offers the grocery stop?

Most seem to offer the stop. We have used Tiffany and FL Tours. I know they both stop.

I vote for the towncar as well. It just seems to be a more relaxed, pleasant experience. I used Mears in August when I was traveling alone and meeting family at WDW and it was ok, but I do have to admit I missed the towncar "experience". It starts the trip off in a very nice way. ::yes::

we just got back from our 25 anniverary trip for which I completely surprised my DH with a towncar.

after calling 3 places I went with Pretige towncar.

It was $85 RT/ $5 off if you book on line but I"M afraid something will go wrong

we had the grocery stop Ray was there to pick us up with a 25th anniversary sign

and was 15 minutes early to take us back to the airport.

very nice to deal with

I would use them again for sure
