Are only tables of 4 able to sit next to the tank? We have 5 and the kids would love to be next to the tank.

We had a table for 2 this past Sept. , they can push the tables together for 4 maybe can do it for 6 I don't know. You will have to request a seat by the tank and I don't know if they take requests but ask anyway. We were just lucky to get right by the glass. Maybe someone else would know more on this we have ADR's in June for 4 and would like to get by the glass.

We had a party of 6 and sat in a booth facing the tank. It was perfect for us! (We prefer to sit in a booth.) It looked like those that were seated right at the tank were too close. A number of times I saw people up front looking up and stretching around to see the fish. I think we could see more from where we were seated!

The booths run the length of the restaurant. The only thing between the (first tier of) booths and the tanks was the aisle and the tables right in front. The booths are raised a bit and the tables in front are spaced enough that you can see a lot!

Thanks for the info. We've eaten 2x at Coral reef and I could not remember the table set up next to the tank.

Our seat was right next to the glass and did have a great view. The diver came up and tapped on the glass and pointed to his ring finger then to my DW's and shrugged his sholders , my wife lost the diamond so doesn't where the ring, guess he wanted to know if we were married. Being up front though every body is looking down at you, I don't know if you mind that? We spent the whole time other the eating looking at the fish and there was also a diving class in the tank. There were couple of small girls that ran up behind us to get a better view we didn't mind that , but I see many complain that it could get pretty noisy with kids up at the glass but we didn't see that when we were there.

Would they be able just to add a chair to a table of four for five people? (If three of them were children). I'd hate to take up a table for 6 with five people, that's all. Our ADR is at 4:00 there, so perhaps it'll be a light enough crowd that they will allow us to do that if it's not in the middle of the resteraunt?

Truly, for the most part, the tables right up by the tank are not the best choice. All you can see is the inhabitants swimming through your panel.

I'm of the same opinion. However, OP has been there before and the kids are requestings so...:confused3. So if they want the tank, they get the tank.
