Only option Universal on a weekend?

We will be in Orlando May 21-26th and our only option is to visit Universal on Sat and/or Sunday what day is preferable in your opinion and I’m assuming rope drop is essential? We can’t do EP due to prior reservations at Disney....but we do have HRH on Tuesday should we just cram everything into that Tuesday and forgo weekend? If we plan on closing the park down on Sat/Sun could we do most if the rides?

I'm assuming weekend would be horrible. Even the weekdays seem super crowded for what's supposedly a down time (May)

Your HRH hotel stay gives you 2 days of EPs- Tuesday and Wednesday. Is it possible to rearrange to be able to take advantage of that?
Get there at least 45-60 minutes before opening so you don't hit a capacity wall.

I would play it by ear and see what you get done on Tuesday.

if you do return on the weekend get there as early as possible. We did early entry last Saturday and got 5 rides, no express passes, in about 2.5 hours BUT by Noon it was packed. We only shopped (it was our last day) and watched the Bourne show for a second time the rest of the day.
