We have been going to the CG since the late 90's. It was my dream as a kid to one day stay at CR one day. I was always bugged eyed on the Monorail as itwent through the CR. The CR was so huge and open. Eventually I could afford the CR and it was the first WDW resort I had ever stayed at since my family is from Orlando so we never overnighted at WDW.
We went to CG without ADRs.
It was hard but possible.
We ate at the Sushi bar almost every night which was just fine with me A year later the DW and I went back and sat down at the bar. We just looked at each other and knew that why we came back was not just to see Mickey but to eat at the CG. Since we were there so often in the same spot we got to know the cooks and servers back then. Yoshi is the only cook/chef left that we recognize.
It still is our favorite place to eat.
We just got back from WDW and we ate at CG. Our favorite server was working so we waited until one of their tables was available.
The last couple of trips we left the kids at Simba's Clubhouse but this time we took them along and timed the dinner for the fireworks. The CG has a really nice menu and coloring book for the kids.
The server brought out the book and One Red Crayon. Yes ONE Red Crayon.
The server told us that they now just get a big box of individual crayons. No boxes of crayons with maybe 6 colors. You can have as many crayons as you want but it will be whatever is in the huge box of crayons!

We had our choice of red, Red, or RED crayons.
Does the CG and Disney REALLY have to squeeze the profits so much that they can't afford 25 cents worth of crayons for a family that is about to drop $150 on a dinner? REALLY?
This is just stupid and the twit who came up with that financial plan should have been laid off.
I wonder if it was that Cleaning Lady I keep hearing about?
Later,
Dan
