Calling All Experts: I am going on a cruise in February, and was able to arrange one full day at Disney World prior to leaving on the cruise. We are taking another couple who has NEVER been to Disney World (Hubby and I have been multiple times, but are torn.) What would you do on your one day (and two nights)?

I guess a little depneds on your resort and ticketing. A good question for sure. Off the op of my head, I would want to make sure to do MK, see the parade and Wishes, and Epcot, making sure to not miss Illuminations. And what time do you get there and leave?

We are planning to stay at the Swan/Dolphin.

We arrive at 9:00 AM on a Thursday, after flying all night from Seattle. We are there the rest of that day, the next full day (Friday), and then we leave the third day (Saturday) in the late morning for the cruise.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!!

Well, working backwards a bit, LOL, seeing as you are at S/D, on the last day, maybe enjoy an early morning walk over to Cape May Cafe for a character breakfast or maybe over to the Boardwalk Bakery for coffee and fancy roll on the Boardwalk, overlooking Crescent Lake. So much for Saturday.

If you want to get a lot in (assuming park hoppers of some sort) (and assuming you have been able to rest some time, LOL) and for your friends who have not been before, after you check in, take the boat from S/D to MGM and just walk around for a bit, but not spending too much time. Get a flavor of the place. It should not be crowded when you are going, early Feb I think. If a couple of the rides do not have lines, give them a shot. Leave before noon.

Then take a bus from MGM to MK and spend the balance of the day there. Lunch maybe, afternoon parade, Wishes, the magic of Disney. Since you are probably sleeping while standing by now, head back to the S/D for the evening. Maybe a late night walk over to the Boardwalk to see how pretty it is.

Friday, all day at Epcot, capped with Illuminations. A PS at one of the sit downs for lunch and/or dinner.

A lot to do, yes. If too much, cut out MGM.

Just some quick thoughts here. S/D gives you a LOT of flexibility.

Enjoy!!!!!
