Well, last night we made the dream reservations (at least for us). We bought annual passes and made our reservations for January '08 for 10 days. Our plan is to also head back in November and again in January '09 before the passes expire (Can you tell I'm a landscaper who's way too busy in the summer).:)

Of course, we're staying at the Fort in a preferred loop (Gotta' have my cable) :happytv: .

The lady at Disney asked me if we had a preference to which loop and I said since we stayed in 209 last time, just try to give us something new. What are the other preferred loops? We're taking the golf cart so being further away from the marina isn't a big deal. It might actually be more fun.

One last thing. How do I add one of those "countdown tickers" to our signature? This way the kids can keep checking "disboards" instead of asking me or my wife, "How many more days 'til we're going to Disney?"
:confused3

Just click on the link by the countdown ticker factory .com by my counter and you will be on your way!

I can sympathize with the OP. My husband is a farmer so we also have to go in the off-season. The last three years we have gone for three weeks during the Christmas-New Year's holiday. This also works well for the kids as they don't miss as much school time. Enjoy th APs and read the folder that explains the discounts you can receive as an AP holder. Remember the dream trip to WDW while you are working in the hot sun, it helps us get through the long busy summer. All the best and congrats on your dream vacation!

We're off season folks as well - dh is a building contractor. It does make for a common bond with our neighbors. He spent time talking building and landscaping with our fellow campers on the loop last year - seemed at least half the folks were self-employed and there because weather really kept them from working back home.

Last January while we were there, we met some real nice folks from up north. He was a contractor specializing in building foundations and excavating. You're right about the common bond.

Hard to believe we own a travel trailer in NC and our biggest, most anticipated trip is always in January.:thumbsup2
