Only need 1 day ticket....thoughts?

For the first time we are going to universal but we have an extra day so we want to spend it at Disney. However, a 1 day ticket for 4 people is a spicy meatball! Any advice on a way to find a cheaper price for a 1 day then the Disney site?

Disney does not offer discounted one-day and two-day tickets to their authorized resellers ("discounters") so there are no discounted one-day and two-day tickets.


Some "timeshare" sellers give out one-day WDW tickets to those who offer to sit through their "90 minute" (or two-hours +) timeshare sales presentations.

Lol....no way am o sitting thru one of those! Not sure we will do Disney this time. Can't see spending the money for one day.

If you need a Disney fix for a lower cost, you could go to Disney Springs, make an ADR at one of the resorts, visit AKL to see the animals, or do one of the water parks.

You could always look into churning gift cards, like they're doing on the Budget Board. Buy a Target GC for less than face value at one of the gift card reseller websites. Then use that GC to purchase a Disney GC (do it at Target .com instead of at one of the stores and there's a way to save a additional 5%). Then use the Disney GC to purchase your 1-day ticket from Disney.

Yeah, that's how they lock you into one park or the other! We did a combo WDW/Uni trip last spring. I booked our tickets through Disney website with the Disney Visa credit card offer. At that time there was a deal for opening new account and get $200 credit minus the $49 annual fee so basically getting $150 free. It helped save a little money.
