We are doing the QSDP when we go down for 8 nights in November.

We plan on doing one (character) breakfast.

I also want to do one dinner. It doesn't need to be a character meal. There will be 3 kids (5 and 7yrs old), DH and I, and my mother and father in law.

We aren't looking for anything fancy. My DH and FIL are mostly meat and potato type guys. My DH's idea of a great meal includes lots and lots of good meat.

I want something that we could all enjoy (and not a buffet).

As an additional piece of info DH and I will be going to Fultons Crab House alone one other night while we are there.

I would suggest Ohana. It will be fun (and accomodating) for the kids because there is a lounge act and they will let your kids eat what the adults eat or order from a childrens menu. Your DH and FIL will love it because the waiters bring around several different kinds of meats on skewers to your table. In addition to the meats, they will serve you many side dishes, family style - wings, salad, broccoli, noodles, bread....THEN, when you're completely stuffed, they will bring you the best dessert on the planet!! :thumbsup2

Ohana is located at the Polynesian, just in case you weren't sure. :)

Thanks for the suggestion! I was actually thinking Ohana or Whispering Canyon Cafe but have read discouraging things lately about the meal itself.

I think I need to search out some more reviews for both to see if the good reviews outweigh the bad.

My thoughts exactly - another vote for Ohana

Ohana or WCC are both good choices IMO, but I'd lean toward Ohana more. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I would suggest WCC OR go all out and do HDDR! You get all you can eat chicken, ribs, potatos, corn bread, AND Strawberry shortcake! Plus you get the benefit of the fun dinner show...
