Only Chef Mickey brkfst is at 7:10??? Other character dining to see Mickey/Minnie?

Hi,
My almost 4 year old is ALL ABOUT Mickey and Minnie...couldn't really care about princesses. We will be at Disney at a crowded time, March 12-16 and I just started calling around today (we just booked the trip a couple of days ago)....the only Chef Mickey at Contemporay reservations were for 7:10 and since we are staying off property and my 3.5 year old gets up at 6:30 there is no way that can happen.
Should I just check the online system daily for a cancellation in hopes to get something closer to 8:30?
We did get Crystal Palace for 8:15 then I found out that it is Pooh and the gang and she is all about Mickey.
Any other character didning that for sure will have Mickey/Minnie?

There are others that have Mickey or Minnie, but Chef Mickey's is the only one with both.

Mickey: 'Ohana and Tusker House
Minnie: Cape May

Also, Garden Grill in Epcot has a character dinner with Mickey

We went one year that early and it actually worked in our favor -- we got to MK before rope drop and got to see the opening show which is incredible -- If you can get your little one up and going -- you can go to the park early and home early enough for a good nap! Good Luck!

I think I saw the Garden Grill has Mickey. It must be the Mickey Mouse clubhouse my little boy loves that show!

Last I saw/heard, Garden Grill only has MM for dinner. In fact, I think that's the only meal they serve.

I would definitely do Cape May Cafe. Minnie in her beach gear. On the 12th, they have a 8:45 and 9:15. Looks like they have the same openings all that week.

I would book either Ohana (Mickey) or Cape May(Minnie) depending on who you want to have breakfast with more as a back up. DEFINITELY keep checking on Chef Mickey's though. I have been know to be almost obsessive about checking for ADRs, but I've always gotten what we've wanted!
