Last week my wife and I, our daughter and her husband and grand daughter and her boyfriend were on the Disney bus going from OKW to Animal Kingdom(early morning). As we approached the park the grand daughter announced that she had to go back to the room as her boyfriend had forgot his pass. As we were getting off the bus I told the driver that they would be returning with him and he said he was not going back, but had finished his day. He told them to talk with the attendent at the bus stop. After telling him their plight, the attendent told the driver to run his route once more so they could go back. When he dropped them at our stop in OKW(Peninsular), the driver told them to get their pass and wait for him across the street and he would pick them up on his way out and take them back to AK.
I don't believe there is another resort/theme park where one would receive such treatment.

JR, thanks for posting a positive guest service story. It is always nice to hear! Hope you all had a wonderful family vacation.

It is great to here these stories....I just finished 8 days at OKW (6/9-6/17) and witnessed the 'Disney Magic' at work. We were eating lunch at a restaurant (can't remember the name...between Main Street and Tomorrowland) when a young boy, probably 10, tripped over a stroller carrying a tray of food. Needless to say, the food went everywhere. Within 10 seconds, 2 cast members were on the seen, one cleaning up the mess, the other consoling the boy. When the boys parents arrived, the cast member (Richard) told them he would take care of replacing their food. About 5 minutes later he returned with a tray of food at no charge....I was extremely touched. I LOVE DISNEY!!!:D

Thanks for sharing that story. It's always great to hear about Disney "magic." You are right -- I don't know of any other place where this would have occurred.

I hope you took the bus driver's name and let someone in authority know how much this was appreciated. I know, as cast members, they get rewards for going above and beyond.

Thanks for sharing-- I love these stories!

Isn't it so sad that in life all we hear about (mostly) are the negative stories? Its refreshing when I read about the good things that Disney does...it reaffirms the magic!

:) Thanks so much for sharing your positive experience. It's nice to read about some of the wonderful things that happen in the land of magic.

When we went to Disney in May, I left our seasonal passes in the room the first morning. Stupid, stupid, stupid! We had waited about 40 minutes for the bus from OKW and making a return trip to the resort wasn't looking good.

In fact, we were going to just buy daily tickets rather than having the day ruined. When I told the guy at the ticket window my tale of woe, he was able to look up our passes by name and reprint them. The original tickets were invalidated, of course.

I was very relieved and happy that they were able to fix my dumb mistake so easily!

When we were just there in May, I was holding the passes for my DH, and 2 kids and myself. When we arrived at MGM I realized that DH's pass was gone......we had 7 day park hoppers and was bummed thinking I had to buy DH a new pass. But when I went to window, they took our other three passes and could look up his pass and then they reissued him another pass, no charge....they were so nice about it!!!! One thing I learned from that is, I will always buy our passes together instead of one at a time. If we had bought then one at a time, I never would have been able to have his replaced.

It is nice to see a group of people that wish to spend some time looking for the positive things in life. I am sure the CM's, who spend many hours and alot of effort trying to satisfy thousands of tired and hot guests, will feel gratified to know that they are appreciated for their efforts.

My "Only at Disney" moment came last month. My 2 year old daughter cut her finger at the MK on the back of a the frame holding the silhouette we just had made. Luckily, we were very close to the First Aid center and I carried my crying daughter there quickly. The nurses hurried us in back, looked at the finger and declared that she would be OK. My DD was still sobbing softly when who should enter the room? Mickey Mouse, himself. He held her other hand while the nurse bandaged her finger and I grinned like an idiot.

Aww.... what a sweet story!

You know, I have a serious crush on the Mouse. I can't be convinced that it's "just" a costume. ;)
