Wow! What a mess! I saw your FB posts on this but didn't realize how bad it was, that stinks! But yay for Disney still! Phew! Hope all is going well now and things are coming along in clean up.

Holy macaroni! What a mess! I didn't realize that it was so bad! So sorry you're having to deal with all that!

Just got caught up- wow, what a mess! Sorry that happened. That stinks!

I hope you get reimbursed for lots of items. I'm glad no one was hurt & I'm also glad your Disney trip is still on-

Hope everything gets sorted soon!

So I thought I would share some of my random thoughts about our upcoming trip:

And my final random thought of the day:

Costumes
I really like the idea of a family themed costume for MNSSHP. DH said " I have not shame, I am totally fine with what ever you want me to wear." Of course DD will change her mind a million times between now and Sept. about what costume she wants, right now she just wants to be a princess. The other thing is (and this is so silly) I do want to be a villain. It seems like all the other female characters in the princess movies are the bad guys. So here are some ideas that I have had:
Peter Pan: DH-Peter DD-Tinkerbell Me-Wendy Of course I will not make DH wear tights or anything... shorts or pants to go with a peter style shirt. Tink is not exactly a princess, but I think DD will be find with that, and I won't have to be a villain!

Wrek it Ralph: DH- Ralph DD- Vanleope Me- Felix This one would be fairly easy to get together and DH LOVES the idea of being Ralph for some reason. DD may not want to be Vanleope, but she can be a princess another day of our trip, and Mamma's happy because she isn't a bad guy.

Beauty and the beast: DH-beast (I would make him a shirt to kind of look like the beast-very simple and not too hot) DD-yellow gown belle Me- provincial Belle. Would it be weird if DD and I were two different versions of the same character? Maybe its kind of selfish, but I kind of want to be a girly girl costume too.

Toy Story: DH-Woody, DD- Jessie, Me-Bo Peep or Mrs Potato Head.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: DH-Goofy, DD- Minnie, Me- Daisy I think this one would be pretty easy to do as well and so classic!

Of course we could do Frozen Anna, Elsa and Olaf.

So many ideas, just not sure which one is best yet...:confused3

If you made it this far thank you for sticking with my random thoughts. DH doesn't really want to talk about it much until things are closer and more certain. So, I have to go somewhere with all my thoughts! Please feel free to weigh in on any of these topics!

Since I am new to your post you may have already changed your plans, LOL:rotfl2: but I just wanted to chim in and say how much I enjoyed your last 2 reports and this one. I too am an obsessive Disney planner (our next trip is December 2016 and I am already in uber planning mode).
DH and I went to MNNSHP last Halloween and we both dressed up. He was Woody and I was Jessie, we had a great time and the interaction we had with Buzz was priceless. We are 40somethings and our kids have 4 paws. So we were not dressing up to be with the kids, that night we were big kids:thumbsup2 It was awesome and we loved it, our favorite is still MVMCP but really enjoyed dressing up.

Oh my goodness! That is just crazy! I am glad your trip is still on but what a headache to deal with!
Oh it's a mess for sure...there are changes in the future, stay tuned!
Holy crap!! I saw your post on fb but you didn't put all the details. And I agree. The power company should cover your damages!! What a mess!
Oh the MO utilities companies are a pain to deal with, I will address that saga in my next post!
Oh no what a mess!
We thought the big yard was a dream come true when we moved here, we had no idea what we were getting into!
hope your clean up is going well...
It's been a real headache! Thanks though!

Stay tuned for my next post. Things have gotten wore and changes are on the way....

Thank you! This has been a huge mess and loads of stress... But I think thing will be looking up.

Oh thank you! I am glad to have you along! We have 2 fur babies also. A lot of times I refer to Charlotte as our 3rd born. I am pretty sure she thinks they are here siblings, not pets.

So much:offtopic: has happened since my last update and some of it does relate to a Disney adventure, I promise!

So, we had the tree issue, and we are still getting the run around from all the utility companies. County says sewer district is responsible, sewer district says power company should pay and power company says the county. They all agree it's not our problem, and that it is not their's :confused:what a mess! Our homeowners covered the things that were damaged, the swing set, the TV, the garage door opener, so that is good, but we still have half a forest lying in our yard, argh!

So then, I got busy planning Charlotte's 3rd birthday. I love planning kids parties, it's one of my favorite things about being a mom! We were planning to have it at a local farm. I really liked this idea because Charlotte loves animals and it's actually cheaper than doing a house party, win-win! The day before the party we found out that my uncle (who was not on speaking terms with any of the family) committed suicide. I had not seen or spoke to him in years, but his daughters are my closest relatives. Their kids are so close to Charlotte, and we do things together all the time. I felt so bad for my cousins, it's hard enough to loose your parents much less if you had not heard from them in 4 years! Even though Charlotte had no idea, I was still not in the best of party spirits, and her close cousins could not be at her party. So, that aside we went on with the party. It poured off and on that day and I considered canceling and having it at home. In the end I just didn't feel ready to have party at home and decided to go through with the farm. It was wet and crazy, but I think everyone had a great time. I know Charlotte did! We even had some of our Dis friends there. STLMickeyMom and AprilRnee and their kiddos both braved the rain to be there with us!:cool1: I just have to pause for a second and say how much I love these boards! I have made some wonderful friends on here and so has Charlotte! I am so lucky!

Okay, so after the birthday party which was wet but a success, we had a nice relaxing Sunday. Then Monday we had Charlotte's actual birthday. I managed to order Charlotte an Elsa toddler doll (at retail price!) on Amazon. It was ordered on May 19, but did not arrive until June 10, the day after Charlotte's bday. I was bummed, but she was so excited to open the box when it arrived the day after her bday, so it all worked out. Anyway, on Charlotte's bday we took her out to dinner and it started to rain. When we got home, our kitchen floor was wet and full of drywall. Evidently our roof over the bay window in the kitchen was not installed properly and the gutter over it overflowed and was hitting in just the right spot. The water came through the ceiling and made a leak and damaged a good deal of the drywall. It was a mess! I can not take one more weather related disaster!

So, DH and I stared talking. While, I am confident we will not have to pay for a lot of the tree removal. We still have a lot of expenses hanging over our heads. We have two trips this summer we have to take. DH was also starting to have a lot of guilty feelings over being out of school for three days. Plus, I was having major anxiety over such a sort trip(seriously planning a short trip is hard!) So, we decided to move our trip (once again:sad:) to March, over Dh's spring break. I was not wild about this idea because 1. Spring break can be super busy and 2. If things go as planned, I will be a little pregnant and being pregnant at Disney is not for me! Then, DH had an idea. We really enjoyed our Disney cruise on our honeymoon, and while I do not want to run around WDW pregnant, relaxing on a cruise sounds like a great plan! Also, on DCL kids can not use the pool unless potty trained, so this might be our last chance for a while to cruise. So, Charlotte has 9 months to get on that potty!

So, we have a new exciting plan:
Sept 2014 is out and Cruise March 2015 is in!:cool1:
We will do either a 4 night on the Dream (the same route as our first cruise) or a 5 night on the Wonder (the same ship as our first cruise)! I am very sad to be canceling our Sept plans, was really looking forward to that trip! But, I am excited about the new trip as well! I am going to call this crazy ever changing PTR complete and start a new one on the cruise board. I will put a link on here when I get it going. Hopefully, you all will follow me over there for all the crazy changes that a Jackie PTR brings!

Wow! BIG changes!!!

Ok first- bummer on all the home stuff and your uncle :( how awful, sounds like God is testing you!

Second- birthdays don't go as planned but looks and sounds like lots of fun still! How exciting for the Elsa doll!

And finally!!! Ahhh! You're no longer part of the September crew! :( BUT a cruise sounds like the perfect alternative! I had no idea you were planning on a second baby this year! How exciting! A cruise will be perfect (although let's hope no morning sickness while on a cruise!) you can relax! People potty train their kiddos in weekends, so you should be able to do it in time if you set yourself to the task!

Man, so much going on, but I think you made the right decision, so hard to cancel a WDW trip, I'm sure, but must be a huge weight off your shoulders at the same time. They are definitely a financial burden and I can't imagine the stressors with trying to do a short trip at that!

Hopefully you can book the new ship you haven't tried, would be fun to see the differences! I get they have a BBB on the ships too, so maybe you can plan an extra little surprise for Charlotte to make up for the changes!

Hope all the home stuff works out for you SOON! I'll be praying on it!

Thank you! We have been tested recently, but I am hopeful we will come out the other side a closer family!

I really hated to cancel our trip but, it just didn't feel right. You know that nagging feeling in the back of your head this is not the right timing? That is how I felt ever since those trees fell.

I was thinking it might be fun to have Charlotte do BBB one day on the trip, I think she will love that! I want to save the details for my PTR, but I am pretty excited about this one.

We have gone back and forth about having a second. In some ways our family feels complete, but at the same time I think I will regret not having two kiddos someday. So we are going to see what happens this winter;).

I think every mom has that "my family feels complete" with their first, because it's your first! It's hard to imagine loving anyone as much as that child! So I totally get what you mean. But it's amazing how you have the second and suddenly you can love two that same, unconditional way. :) <3

Oh man! Your trip changed more than mine did!! But a cruise will be fun!

And yes, I do not recommend disney while pregnant. Been there done that, it was exhausting! In fact, we are planning our next one around the fact that we ARE going to Disney in Jan (come he!! or high water! been planning it for 3+ years and dang it, no one is gonna stop me!) and I do NOT want to be pregnant. LOL Yep...classy, family planning around a disney trip.

But YAY for another baby!!! That's super exciting for you!! I will happily await seeing how that age spread works for you guys cause that's pretty close to what I'm hoping for our next. 4-5 yr age gap.

I know its such a tough decision for me. But, I think I will really regret Charlotte not having a sibling in the future so we will give it a whirl, and see what God has in store for us!

I think it will be good. I could not imagine having another before Charlotte turned 3, but I like that by the time we have a second Charlotte will be in school and I can have some one on one time with the second as I have had with Charlotte. I also like that Charlotte gets more and more self-sufficient every day and that will make things easier for all of us:)
oh and holy cow you have had bad luck with this spring weather!! What the heck!?
No kidding, the storms/rain hasn't even been that bad this year, we have just had bad luck! I am done with weather!

Congrats on the new plans. I think you made a good choice . I also have done Disney pregnant. It was ok but I couldn't ride a lot of my favorite rides... and it was tough keeping up with the busy schedule.

A cruise will be perfect! Kick it up and relax! :)

Looking forward to joining your Cruise PTR. You can join my Cruise TR I started for Fantasy. Especially if you do Dream Itin..since the boats are similar!
