Only 2 weeks and 3 days to go and still no tickets

Hi all!
Only 2 weeks and 3 days to go and we've still not received our tickets (flight,Disney, Discovery Cove) DD's BF's flight tickets came on Saturday(he was booked with a different company but on the same flight,BA) Just thought i'd share!

Getting very excited all the same.

BTW, we were trying to keep this holiday a secret from youngest DD(10) and were doing brilliantly untill we found out yesterday evening that she'd over heard her sister telling their Sunday school teacher they wouldn't be going to SS at Easter as they would be in Florida!

Oh well, it was getting to be a bit of a strain keeping it from her for so long as we're all so excited.But it's still a bit of a downer

I've never used BA, but would give them a ring if you are worried, it would set you mind at rest.

I don't know how you kept the secret so long! I could never keep a trip to WDW to myself, there's too much to plan and talk about, I'm sure your DD will enjoy it, I bet she's bouncing around isn't she?

I'm sure your tickets will arrive just fine, but I can understand you getting a bit anxious!

I know I couldn't keep a secret like that! We're travelling to Orlando in October with DH's brother plus family and his sister plus family. Neither of them is going to tell their children about the trip until much, much nearer the time - I'm a bit worried that one of us might accidentally let it slip before then

We didn't get our tickets until 7 days before! Why do they have to keep us waiting ?

Am sure everything's fine. But if it eases your mind - phone the agency or airline.

We only got our flight tickets yesterday (agency did say they would hold onto them for safekeeping until about 7/10 days before so I wasn't too anxious). Its great when they arrive though

Shame about your daughter but now you can all share in the excitement

Hi - we tried to keep our second trip a couple of years ago a secret from our (then) 7 year old. However, decided with a month to go that all the whispering behind closed doors was getting to her, so put a little pack together in the form of a treasure hunt with clues to Disney, Florida, etc. so she could try and guess.

She got it in the end and said she was so pleased to know cos she wanted to be all excited and look forward to it! Even did herself a little holiday countdown calendar!!

Don't panic !!! Like some of the others we only got our tickets 5 days before we flew. The booking agency said that it was common practice not to issue tickets until at least 10 days before travel.

It might be worth a phone call to your agency just to put your mind at rest though.

We have friends that are going to WDW Sept 2003 and are trying to keep it from their 4 DS's until they get to the airport. I would say that their chances are approximately zero.

Well Sue, i wouldn't recommend trying to keep a secret like that from 4 kids, it was bad enough keeping it from 1 child lol.

I received my tickets for holiday 12th april 4 weeks ago. They had already sent one lot out but they went missing in the post. The only reason I knew this was becauase when I paid the girl siad she would issue the tickets. When they had not arrived 2 weeks later I telephoned. They had been sent but had not arrived.

Eventually because crawley is only about 40 minutes away I drove to Virgin and picked up a new set. To this day the old tickets have never arrived. You might want to phone and check as to whether they have been issued.
