Only 2 Disney Quest vouchers?

We received our Mickey mail booklet earlier this week. It is all of the usual information and the vouchers in the back. We were planning on going to Disney Quest in Downtown Disney this trip for the first time, but I'm disappointed to find only 2 vouchers in the booklet. When I did a quick search, I found that admission tickets are $45 each so I would have to pay and additional $90 for the other 2 members of the family. Why would this be? We paid for a family of 4 and purchased 4 tickets for everything else. Doesn't seem right.

I've often wondered myself why only 2 vouchers are supplied regardless of the number of people booking the package. Personally, I would not pay full price for DQ.

That is the way it has always been. The package inclusions are clearly stated and they are not based on the size of the party. It is what it is
Sorry you are disappointed and didn't understand.

They do it so you DO have to spend $90.00 more to get in. Not many parties of two......more families of 4-5. If the whole family wants to go, they are going to make money. They make no money if they give out four tickets.

I clearly understood, never said I didn't...Just was stating that I was disappointed there weren't enough for the whole family. We'll just find something else to do. No big deal.

Yeah, we decided to skip it. There are a lot of other things to do that won't cost an additional $90!

That is unfortunate. I do have another idea for you though. I do not know what kind of tickets you bought but if you have the "water parks and more option" the "and more" part could be used for DisneyQuest (unless they have changed it). A few years back my DH and I used one of our credits for DQ :)

In all fairness, I just went thru the booking process online for a vacation package and didn't find anything about inclusions clearly stated. So I searched for "Magic Your Way" and still could not find any information about what additional discounts/benefits are included other than resort perks.

I can certainly understand how anyone could get their paperwork several days/weeks later and wonder why they only received two vouchers for something when they've purchased tickets for more.

That exactly!

My son really wants to go to Disney Quest when we go down at the end of the month, but I don't really want to pay the $90 for my wife and 4 year old daughter to join us.

I don't know if this is possible or in the spirit of Disney, but has anyone ever "donated" their Disney Quest vouchers to another family that might be able to use them during the same time they will be down there? If anyone has two that they won't use during their stay over December 30th, I would be glad to trade mini-golf vouchers in exchange.

It's worth a shot I guess!

One thing to watch, the person who booked the room has to show ID to turn the voucher in for tickets. If you wife booked the room and you are going and just take one child she will have to show id for you to get tickets. We found this out with our teens last summer. Good thing we were just at the Marketplace and not resort when they called to tell us.

What a pain! Do you have to go all the way to Disneyquest or can you pick up the tickets at your resort? I was planning on sending my DH and son to DQ while my DD and I did tea. I don't want to truck all the way to DQ!!! That's ridiculous - we're all on the same reservation!! With all of their "technology" they should be able to see that!!!!

So I guess trading passes wouldn't work - was worth a shot. Thanks for the info.

You have to go to DQ to redeem them. We had 2 rooms, one in my name one in my mom's name. My 2 boys got to go 2 times each but I had to show ID for the one day and my mom for the other. We could not redeem them all at one time and save the two tickets for another day.

One thing to note at DQ is that at night they sometimes discount admission based on attendance (i.e. the place is empty). You'd only get a few hours, but the price might be right for that. You can still use your vouchers too.

Yes, I was going to say the same thing. At 7pm they often drop the price to half price (its up to the manager on duty thou). So you might want to go at 7pm to save some money!
